Incomplete passes, turnovers, and gaps. Story of the game for Canada.

Pretty bleak now, but if nothing else this experience will be invaluable for the players who'll remain for 2026. Hopefully there are a couple of 17-19 year old Canadian kids who decide to really dedicate themselves having watched the team in this world cup.

I don't watch soccer too often but it seems like Davies is the only player trying to make a play for Canada - seems on a different level than his teammates.

Help, save, whatever.

As a casual you can really tell Davies is just on another level compared to the rest of the guys on this team.
Modric on Croatia looks like some creature for Lord of the Rings...Or maybe Dobby from Harry Potter.

Having a proper and fit center defending midfielder would've had this a one goal game still.
Herdman's call to put Hutchinson in that new formation, and then keep him in when it was clear he was done, was glaring tactical error and lead to third goal.
Osorio and free kick in second half and not totally out of question. And saves by Borjan were good.

Not the result we wanted, but for 30 minutes Canada lead the reigning World Cup finalists. That's something to be proud of.

Well, that was a shot to the dignity at the end. Can't remember the last 2 on 0 I've seen in soccer...

Still a ways to go for CANMNT. Nice to make it here and hopefully this country gets some more world class players developed here

Miller seems to have a HR monitor on. Wonder what that's about.

So proud! We got our goal, had our moment and never gave up
We got a real education today from Croatia. They were dominant and their midfield torched us
Hopefully Miller doesn’t beat himself up too much tonight

Not only that, but for we fans, we still have one last no-pressure game to watch and then... the rest of the world cup even without Canada in it.
Truthfully, this match is more what I might have expected. The real shocker so far is probably how bad Belgium are.
