If this group can scratch and claw its way through the first half of the season, within reach of the top 3 seeds in the division, then the second half/post all-star break part of the season will decide who this team really is.

There's just too much "off" right now. I know we're all always looking for the next trade or call up, but I do believe the pieces are there for this to be a top team. There's just too many players not living up to their own reputations.

Markstrom does not look vezina caliber

Mangiapane can't score anymore.

Huberdeau does not look like a 115pts player

Kadri has looked a bit average after a hot start

Lindholm has struggled with consistency.

Just too many disjointed player fits right now.

I agree that Vladar deserved a second start after the last game, but Markstrom vs Vladar is irrelevant when you can't score.

Our owner was ####ing desperate to stay competitive and mandated it happen at all costs. He wants his new toy and needs to have Red Lot like atmosphere and buzz to prove to the city that we need his repainted pinto. New arena would have shovels in the ground if Ken King never passed.

I’m a day 1 season ticket holder and I’m done with this iteration of the Flames.

Murray Edwards can take his ####ing pinto and #### right off to the Isle of Man tax haven.

Calgary is pretty lucky with the people covering the Flames.

One of the best PBP guys. Millen and Hrudey are solid colour guys and Leslie as the host.

I like Sarich on the panel and don't really mind Francis as much as some people too.

Gilbertson, Pike and Wilson are good follows on Twitter.

That's solid top to bottom IMO.

I think there were legit business concerns that a full rebuild coupled with the arena uncertainty might have put the viability of the team in Calgary at risk.

Huberdeau and Kadri were excellent adds and this team will be competitive. But maybe not this year. And that's disappointing. The weird coaching / shooting themselves in the foot adds to the disappointment
