I’m a markstrom fan but I’ve seen enough. Time to ride pine and let Vladar take the reigns. He’s mentally not sharp and not ready. We are constantly losing the goaltending battle and he’s costing us wins. The team isn’t sharp but these deflating goals kill all momentum.

Vladar should have started. With his last start being so good there really wasn't any reason unless they were in fact saving him for tomorrow. At this rate and with the often perplexing decision making I'm guessing they have Markstrom penciled in for tomorrow too. At some point you can't "get him going" and this season is what it is for him. I think we're there.

I’m not faulting their effort, but they seem to lack the ability to finish plays and lock down games when leading.

They’re flawed, and perhaps their flaws are more glaring than initially thought.

The idea that Flames play their 4th liners more than other teams just doesn't seem to be borne out by the stats. Maybe some teams have 4th liners that kill more penalties,
that's a possibility.

Problem is that in a game like this our top players are near invisible out there. Huberdeau just doesn't have the puck on this stick all that much.

Man our offense is depressing.
We're so bad offensively, that for us to win most nights, our defense and goaltending has to essentially play mistake-free because scoring more than 2 goals is almost out of reach.

That’s not a clear shot.

Yeah, defense absolutely part of that horrid play. A huge part.

…but Kuznetsov is falling down and barely slides the puck along the ice towards Markstrom who lets it in.

Bad on all fronts. Pitiful.

This team isn't built to out score shi### goaltending. If Markstrom was playing like last year they would be fine.

Markstrom sucks but so does the offence right now. They don't get any chances and look so slow.
