Pittsburgh was the better team, but I thought it was a pretty evenly played game. Super fun, grinding hockey with fantastic goaltending on both sides.

That was a great road game.

Flames give up some of the fewest high danger chances in the league

For me the issue is a lack of team defence. The example buddy gave in the first? Intermission maybe the second with the forwards being way to high in the d zone for any dman to make a decent play to breakout, that is one of a long list of things that have been hard for us this year. That being said I'm glad to make it out of that game with a point. Credit to Darth he played awsome.

Pens sounded really motivated. Stupid special event.

The team is badly out of sync. They are not dangerous in the offensive zone at all and just seem to cycle until they lose the puck or are forced to make a perimeter shot on net. It’s no surprise that they can’t score goals, the proof is there.

I’d like to see Ruzicka get a chance in the shootout.

Lol Pittsburgh was the better team but it was a even game. Ok that makes a lot of sense.

I love how Big Z in OT was skating around for 90 seconds like it was a Family skate!

I know their advanced stats have been looking good so far this season but in too many games this season, this doesn't strike me as a Darryl Sutter coached team. Sloppy way too often and not paying attention to the small details. It is not unreasonable for Mangiapane to get off to a slow start with the new contract weighing on him but on the Pens first goal, he needs to get that puck in deep. Not doing so ended up resulting in a bad change leading to the goal. He is not the only one as I've seen this happen far too often this year. Zone exits have been a regular struggle - I'm not knowledgeable enough to know whether it is a good system poorly executed or a poor system poorly executed.

Great goaltending tonight and a win so I'm not going to get overly negative about this team. If they start playing D Sutter hockey and many of the under-performing players start clicking, this will be a fun team to get behind.

After that call in OT I thought about that Conroy interview with Barnburner where he admitted that Kadri, Lucic and Sutter yell at the refs too much and probably causes them to get less favorable calls

Well, it does. This shouldn't be hard to understand.

The Flames are slowly starting to creep their way back into the mix. Goaltending and sloppy defensive zone coverage are getting cleaned up.

If they can somehow get their powerplay going it would help a ton. Goal scoring is probably their big issue now.

*SIGH*

Clearly, this is difficult for you.

If you took the time to actually read my post, I said that it was a "pretty evenly played game," which is NOT the same thing as dead-even. Most of the time, there is a better team performance in every NHL game—even those that are very, very close. This was a game that the Flames were in from wire to wire: they played well enough to win, and did not get badly outplayed. It was "pretty even," which is not perfectly even (duh), but is also not a one-sided domination.

Of course, this is how nuance works. If you are interested in carrying on meaningful conversations with other human beings it would be useful for you to learn how to grasp it.

Entertaining game , hell of an outing for Lord Vader.
Man do the Pens get away with a pile of interference tho , some pretty blatant non calls again.

D-zone coverage needs to get cleaned up. and the 4th line misses Ritchie .

Crosby and Malkin are at a stage where they can be handled maybe even neutralized 5 on 5. One on one with a goalie is way too much advantage and a reminder as to why they are blinged up. Don’t loose any sleep Vlad.

Flames were 2nd best tonight by a huge margin. Thank Vladar for the point, with a bonus to Tanev and Zad, they were solid as usual.

Whole rest of the team, not good enough, whatsoever. Kadri, pathetic. If he doubled his effort level he wouldn’t even be giving 100% right now. Last couple games this has been starting.

PP awful. 6 minutes left you get a gift and you can’t even get zone time? Pathetic. When that situation comes up in game 7 you need to do some damage.

4th line? Not bad, solid enough, nothing to exceptionally hate tonight.

Huberdeau, some nice passes in the 3rd. Where have those been all year?

Rest of the offense? Not good enough. There’s one guy with skill on this team, nobody else has any.

Thanks Vladar for the point.

Oliver please come back I love you so much
