It was a quick start for the Sabres as they scored twice in the first minute of the game! Spon after it was 3-1 Sabres three minutes into the game.
Allen remains in net and it is still 3-1 Buffalo in the second period.

Nice win for the Sabres after a long losing streak. Unfortunately they've dug themselves quite a hole and are going to need to keep mostly winning for a while if they want to get out of it.
The key was finally being healthy on defense. Mattias Samuelsson is a really important underrated player to the team, kind of like Tanev on the Flames. No surprise he's back and they suddenly looked great again. Got to keep it up though!

The Sabres will have to do what the Blues did, set a new NHL record. The Blues lost eight straight games and then have gone on a seven game winning strreak.
