See what happens when you back yourself into a rhetorical corner, where you've said there is some easy magical way to make the health care system cheaper, while improving outcomes, breaking the unions and creating profits for private individuals all while refusing to invest anything in long term solutions, and you have absolutely no salient ideas for how to do any of those things individually let alone together, you need to come up with short term schemes that look like action but avoid long term investment.

No it wouldn’t imply that at all. If you have to try and turn assumptions into facts to justify your position I’m not sure there’s much room for reasonable discourse on this matter.

Lol. That was completely ridiculous. In the first minute, she blamed all of our problems (including many self-imposed UCP problems) on the federal government ...and then rebranding the sovereignty act as "Sovereignty Within A United Canada?" I'd barf but frankly, it the whole thing was just boring and unnecessary.

Smith couldn't even brave a live address, she pre-recorded it. Credit to Notley IMO — at least she had the guts to do her response live.

Also, as an individual without children -- I guess inflation doesn't affect me or my wife? Cool.

There’s some good stuff in there for Albertans with low incomes but I don’t think for a second that she actually cares for the common person.

And, last, but not least since we know Yoho is a big fan of online twitter polls...

Sorry 1300 votes, 73% saying it went poorly.

Why does she do that to her cheeks you have to zoom in really good to see if she even has eyes.

Sure, but it's not like Notley wouldn't do the exact same, or more. This is just buying votes with tax dollars.

And I guess that's the worst part about how all this is going down...we're now in a 6 month election campaign. Ugh!

In all seriousness, will see how this goes with the public. I read somewhere its a 'soccer mom' speech, but I've also seen good traction with the "uh, she is just reversing everything that essentially the UCP just cut in the last couple of years/she's just implementing everything that the ndp has advocated for".

Which wins out? I think we see how much peoples' views of her from before are cemented in or not.

EDIT:

Ok, this one was pretty funny too
