They haven't won two games in a row since they lost to New Jersey the first time in Edmonton, so they said on tonights broadcast.

I would love to see their annual 10 game losing streak along with Calgary's annual 10 game winning streak - at the same time.... I know, I'm being greedy, but that's what I want.

After the 4th goal, he clearly lays blame on whoever it was to his left.

I was told this Oilers goaltending tandem was much improved this season.

Not only that…. But he gave away the puck outside the crease leading to a goal like Smith always did… he almost got caught again but it wasn’t put into the net.

Watched the highlights, and if you want to see the problem with the Oilers it's all right there in a tidy package. Skinner not playing over his head, Nurse was playing rover in the offensive and defensive zone, and the third goal was a perfect example of Draisatl's "Selke" form. He takes way too long of a shift, skates into the ozone, loses the puck and then is too tired to even skate back to the bench (hard to even call it a coast) while the play goes the other way for the 3-1 goal.

And now, listening to the Oilers post-game it sure sounds like they are attempting to backfill a chasm left by the departing legend, Mike Smith. Rob Brown—when speaking of how much the Oilers miss Smith's puck handling adventures—actually said this: "If the puck got past Mike Smith, it meant that no goalie in the history of the NHL could stop it."
That's some Chuck Norris-level myth making, there.

Aside, but Rob Brown's house is far too nice for someone who holds opinions like this.

It is much improved. The gaffes are far more entertaining.
It's a pity they only carry two goalies. They could be a great slapstick act, all they need is one more stooge.

Edmonton now 23rd overall in xGF% 5 on 5 but in the month of November they're 26th.
Calgary 9th overall and 5th in November.

Skinner seems like the #1 to me.... I can't recall the last time I've seen Campbell play. (Carolina 7-2 loss maybe - 5 games ago). He's not injured. - most coaches would want to get their number #1 goalie back out there after letting in 7 goals to get that monkey off their back, and most goalies would respond to that embarrassment by having a great game (or better at least)... but not Edmonton, they are leaving Campbell on the bench to stew in his bad performance and to lose what little confidence he had left.
The way the Oilers' play... they needed a goalie that excels at stopping High Danger chances and they go and sign Campbell for 5 years that is a very serviceable Low to Medium Danger chance stopper that likes to have a great defense in front of him. It makes no sense to me, with the makeup of their team.... with Quick's contract for example in it's final year, they have no chance at even offering him anything (if he'd even play in Edmonton is another question) or anyone else until Campbell's contract is off the books (trade or otherwise)... and after the Oilers' trash his stats this year, who would take on Campbell's contract without some retained salary and some other assets (draft picks) coming along with the trade. I thought that signing would bite them the second they made it, but after only 10 games played... this is glorious.

I am glad it has been finally accepted by everyone that Cale Makar is the best hockey player in the world.
Hopefully that puts an end to name dropping McDavid in every national broadcast for no reason whatsoever.

apropos of last night's game, let me be the last to say that I think New Jersey is for real this year.

During last night’s game Monster Truck & LouieDBlouie started to push the story they’ve been given from management that Campbell is hurt and would only go in for emergency. To expect they call up Pickard when Skinner needs a night off. The truth is they don’t have an ounce of faith in Campbell.
