+1 EGA if Markstrom gets the start.
0 EGA if Vladar gets the start.

We can win if Markstrome will not play the puck behind his net, just saying

If there were ever two mirror franchises. Not perfect but pretty darn close. Both with some ups but lots of downs.

I really regret us not getting Philly in 2004.

Flyers record is way better than I expected...seems like they have lost every game I have watched them yet they are NHL .500 somehow

Loved Sutters presser. Talked about Zadorov. He compliments Z saying he's our best player right now.

Talks about the ascension in his game since coming here which I fully agree with and am slightly surprised at this revelation in a way.

I'm glad he's back , hitting, playing right and even Sutter appreciates him not taking bad penalties.

Now as for our goalies . Wow they need to do something. Letting weak goals in almost every game does not guarantee allot of trust nor translate into those W's .

We need certain players to play with more discipline, intensity , energy.

I hope they start finding chemistry here real quick or just start getting dirtier goals or something anything please just put in a full 60 for the love of ....

Gotta beat any team coached by Tortz.... I still call him fonzie. Let's shut the fonz up and or make him mad ....maybe he'll try and come visit our locker room again. This time Looch can play doorman and block his entry .

I wonder if any of our asst coaches would need to be restrained from popping ol fonzie....lol....Malarchuk was out for blood when big Ern had to stop him.

I'll never forget that line brawl to start the game .

Go Flames Go.....its W time!!!!

They started 3-0 and then reality settled in. In November, they are 2-6-2 and losses have included OTT, MTL and CBJ twice

As much as the Flames missed a healthy Tanev in last springs playoffs I think Zadorov's rib injury was just as bad.

Yeah, you said it. But it's dumb. Goalies play the puck behind their nets; most of the time they are fine doing it, and it is the right play. There is no NHL game ever in which a goalie will not ever play the puck.

One of the D should have warned him he was about to get pick pocketed.

Probably. The point being that this is a non-issue.

yes, exactly. We can't expect him to just not play the puck back there ever.

I am not a fan of the lack of communication when he does handle the puck, there should be a sense of urgency in the voices of his D men to yell when someone is close to him. Watching that last game, when they stripped the puck, he had zero idea that guy was there, meanwhile it doesn't look like his teammates are speaking up. When I played sports I would always give my teammates a lot of vocal instructions on where people were, how far away, etc. Like yell out "Left side 10 feet and closing fast, move it now!!" Stuff like that, I don't see our guys doing that, doesn't mean it isn't happening, I just think it could be better.

Maybe something to look at, it is easy to blame Markstrom for those gaffs but I think our other guys can be better to help him out back there with simple commands.

lol right!!

Joking aside, every team wants their goalies stopping or slowing down the puck behind the net when the other team rims it, it's a lower percentage chance of ending up in our net than if he lets the other team retrieve the dump in.

Given how they are currently playing I don't see moving Huberdeau off of Backlund's wing and onto Kadri's is an upgrade. Kadri has been just okay the lest several games; Backlund has consistently been one of the team's top forwards all year.

Agreed, seems like someone who hasn't watched at all the last few games.

If anything, we should consider swapping Mango and Coleman

Huberdeau-Backlund-Mangiapane
Ruzicka-Lindholm-Toffoli
Dube-Kadri-Coleman

Seems better to me. But huby-backlund should stick for a bit.

personally I think they need to split up Mangiapane and Kadri...that just hasn't worked and both guys are really fighting it right now and seem to be too similar of players. Find they are in each others way on the ice at times.

Depending how things go I do think that:

Ruzicka-Lindholm-Toffoli
Huberdeau-Kadri-Dube
Mangiapane-Backlund-Coleman

That might end up being our best usage of our top 9. I do really want to see Huberdeau with Dube...Dube is a clone of Bennett in Calgary and Huberdeau had chemistry with Bennett.

Edit: Would be fine with what Monahammer had too.
