I thought it was one of Markstrom's better games this season. Unfortunately it would simply have been an average game for him last year, and that's excluding the complete brain gaff of a goal.

I get that bad luck evens out throughout a season, but Markstrom is starting to lose the benefit of the doubt as far as I'm concerned. 3GAA, .888sv% that's not a goalie who's on his game no matter how you slice it. I just want last season's Markstrom back, hopefully he figures it out quickly, or Vladar steps up as a number 1 goalie.

It seems so much like a concentration issue for Markstrom. All the bad goals this year are when he moves his head to the side at something inconsequential right before a shot is taken. He gets distracted.

I’m still confused why toxic is a term used when posters are critical of Flames players or coaches. They are who we root for but they’re not us. They don’t post on this board and even the poorest of them are millionaires. I would generally use toxic when posters on this board attack other members. If members of the team suck (in the opinion of the fan) they should be free to express it. I agree they shouldn’t post non stop troll posts just saying it over and over, but this game tonight is deserving of criticism on several levels.

True. But it's not absurd to suggest a 20 save shutout from time to time. None of the Lightning goals tonight have been unsaveable and it would just be nice for him to play up to his teams level.
