Flames outshooting the opposition once again . 0-2 on the power play . Seen this movie before . No emotions, no scoring prowess . Gonna be a long year . Maybe this team doesn’t wanna play for Sutter.

You seem to have a problem understanding what the word “consistently” means.
And for the record, the nature of the win given the lead we established, made it feel flat.
I didn’t post that feeling in the PGT because that thread was depressing enough without me piling in as well.
But tonight, sheesh, there is no sign of a pushback.

Season totally changed when McDavid scored that crap goal on Markstrom.

How many scoring chances did we create? They just skate to the outside shooting it into the crest and skate off. No push to get inside no second wave no speed.
What are the chances?

I like Looch, good guy, etc. But Looch with Kadri and Mangi is way too much Looch, moving way too slowly. Not good, change it please, sooner rather than later would be good.

What a depressing period. We outplay Tampa and leave the period down another goal.
The difference is that Tampa's star players are showing up, and we... don't have any star players to show up.

These lines are infuriating. I have always believed in Sutter through both times he has been at the helm of this team. These lines though, I'm really questioning his methods now. We have a plug weighing down each line and guys playing way too much ice time for their skill level.

No it changed when the coach blew up the lines when we were 5-2
Not a single player benefitted from that

I guess I'm in the minority.
Flames have played well so far against a very good team on the road and are unlucky to be down by 2. Two posts, a goal called back.......they are getting chances.
Can easily see them still winning this game. I'm not sure if people are just trying to be edgy or enjoy being as pessimistic as possible but they are playing well tonight. Get one early in the 3rd and go from there.

Flames aren't going to win many games when they are chasing and Sutter is giving Lewis more minutes than Huberdeau, Kadri, Tofolli, Mangiapane etc.
Nevermind the fact that he was directly responsible for the first goal, and he may chip the odd puck into the net but he can't create offense to save his life.

I just don't get the take
17-6 shots in the period
2 posts and inch offside goal

How many of those shots in the second period had any chance of going in? Vasilevskiy is not being tested, frankly. This is a SV% bump game for him.

Some people seem to think that how good the team is playing is directly proportional to the shot count. Flames are winning by ten in shots and losing by how much in quality chances? It feels like we think this is a 2-1 league now but that doesn’t work unless you have Hasek backing you.
