The Flames haven’t generated any chances. They’re making this a very easy period for the Lightning. Flames need to generate some offense, and right now they’re just sort of going through the motions.

Flames aren’t playing bad, but they aren’t doing enough to tie this game. To beat Vasi, the Flames are going to need better quality chances. These shots from distance are a waste of time and Tampa will give them to us all night.

I can't help but wonder if Sutter is doing it to light a fire under Treliving to make a move for a forward.

The Flames haven't generated a lot, but the Lightning have generated nothing

high-danger chances tonight are 8–1 TB, 0–0 in the second so neither team is doing anything

edit: now 1–0 TB in the second after that last chance

They’ve generated a goal. They don’t need anything more if they aren’t going to give anything up.

Flames need to play with some urgency.

This is exactly it. Flames won’t get back into this game playing this way.

your comment was about the second period, and it was a bad take

Flames looking awful just inflating shot totals with muffins from the blue line. No real chances and you can't really say much when the coach rolls 4 lines and has Lewis and Lucic in the top 6.

They've had one high-danger chance all night and have been repeatedly firing shots from the perimeter directly into shin pads. Nothing inspiring at all going on here.

They're playing for a tie in a game where they're trailing. Need to pick it up about eight notches (and put Huberdeau on a much better line).

Sutter has spread the Flames limited offensive skill through 4 lines and it's not working. Go back to the lines from the beginning of the year already.

How do we leave the front of the net so wide open so consistently? The trailer again with a dangerous look.

Markstrom may save the game there. Lucic is so exposed when the other team is in the offensive zone.

Yes but they are not playing awful. I get it they can play better but awful is not the correct word.
