One thing I have really enjoyed about this season not working out for the Oil is feeling vindicated that the Woodcroft hire was a combination of the new coach bump and a timely Mike Smith hot streak.
I really developed a dislike for Woodcroft early with his weird creepy look. Oilers fans praising this guy as the next great young coach but the Oilers are back to their inconsistent ways

I love how Connor's life is worth more to folks than someone like Trevor Lewis. Love Capitalism so much.

I've really developed an hatred for Woodcroft for he has that exact same smirk that Glen Sather had. But when Sather had that smirk, his team were wining Cups.

This kind loss, especially where McDrai bank 0 pts, and a game of inches, usually is a precedent to a winning streak

Wow. Yeah, definitely looking like a team on the start of a long winning streak.

Friends that are Oilers fans kept telling me that Woodchuck is Ted Lasso. Well, he definitely has no idea about the sport he is coaching so maybe they were right.

I've never been able to understand the logic that these players are so special that they can't be expected to abide by the same rules that the non-special players have to abide by. If they're so special, why do they need special treatment?

This nonsense has to stop.
Its a team game. A player is a player is a player.
Call the game even.

Either it's a contact sport or it's not. Does he expect Edler to move out of the way so McDavid can walk in the zone?

Don't forget his press conferences dressed like an idiot with those knee-high socks.
Also, his disrespectful handshake with the Flames coaches.

KINGS GO ‘OLD TESTAMENT’ ON OILERS
Gideon's Bible Society, Hockey Division
In the eleventh month, on the sixteenth day, the host of the Kings came up from the city of the angels of the LORD, even unto the city of the host of the Oil, which is No Good:
And they entered into the house of abomination, that is the temple of Rogers,
And there did battle against the host of the Oil for three periods, even from the faceoff unto the buzzer.
And Connor the son of David, the captain of the host of the Oil, did evil in the sight of the Referees;
And he was made to sit in the box of repentance, for his play was unclean.
But the host of the Kings made many offerings of rubber, according to the rites that are written in the Book of the Rules;
And Trevor, priest of the house of Moore, thrice laid the disc of the covenant in the tabernacle of the goal.
Then the host of the Kings was entered in the tablet of the Standings under the letter Waw, for they did what is righteous; and they went away from that place, and there was great rejoicing.
But the host of the Oil was entered under the letter Lamed, for they did what is evil in the eyes of the Fans;
And there was weeping and gnashing of teeth in the city of No Good, and great was the stench thereof.
Here endeth the lesson.

It's also weird you never hear this about other 'special' players like McKinnon, Makar, Matthews, Hedman, etc... they don't seem to need this treatment.
