Toronto has a lot of talent actually. Their problem is that you just never know what you are going to get from MBT who can be great or horrible all in the same game.

No surprise that Rourke is garnering plenty of NFL attention...

It will be interesting to see how Rourke does. I don't see him getting any offers to start but holding a clipboard for years and getting that NFL pension is never a bad thing.

Even if he goes down and holds a clip board as a third stringer he's making a million to a million and a half in US dollars. So of course he'd do it and see if he can ride the games to a pension.
He might as well take his shot now, what makes him interesting is his age.
I would expect that he'll get a quite a few invites.

Plenty of teams should let him compete for a job or at least have him as the backup with a chance to start in a year or two; Lions, Patriots, Broncos, Raiders, Titans, Colts, Texans, Commanders, Seahawks, Rams, Bucs, Packers, Panthers, Falcons, Saints, Giants, Vikings...Pretty much half the league. Hopefully he picks a good spot. Rooting for him.

Gross, outside of the Rough Riders is there any worse organization than the Argos?

Whichever team he picks, that'll be the team I'm cheering for though I don't follow NFL that much.

I think we have to be a little realistic here as he's a long shot to make it. He had a nice half of a season but his pro resume is really short and the NFL is a far more difficult challenge. I don't see any scenario where he's signed as a backup nor to I see him starting for some time if ever. He's going to be 3rd stringer wherever he goes and it's no slam dunk he makes it out of training camp.

^He is a 25 year old QB with arm strength with accuracy. He played in the NCAA and put up good numbers, came back to Canada and would have easily won MVP had he been healthy all year. The potential is there.
He's no worse then some of the backups employed in the NFL. Now the question is do NFL politics allow give him an opportunity or not?

i feel that he still needs a little more time in the oven. in my opinion he looked very confused at the start fo the bobmers game, and then settled down and then had trouble/or the bombers d made plays (take your choice)
i really hope the the sake of the league he hangs around a few more seasons

The NFL is a much faster game with smaller windows to throw and his arm strength in the NFL is merely average. Lets not forget he had by far the best receiving group in the CFL with Rhymes, Hatcher, Whitehead, and Burnham. It's the most stacked unit we have seen in a long time as Henry is maybe the only Stampeders WR that would make the Lions starting lineup. The potential is there but it's no guarantee he sticks with an NFL roster.

Someone will need to fall in love with Rourke's skillset and potential -- kind of like Bill Walsh when Jeff Garcia went to the 49ers. Even if he has the measurables and arm talent, it's an uphill climb.
So I hope for his sake that he gets a legit chance, but I wouldn't be sad if he spends another year or two up north.
