What do we have here, a winning streak, and they are playing (mostly) well.

Good to get back to back wins and great to see the offense explode a little there. I think this team is going to find their stride in the next 5-6 games and we will see them come back from this road trip and start to dominate.

Nice game by Lindholm. Tanev is so important to the team. Toffoli nice actions.

Ruzicka looked good and had great results. With Valimaki performing well in AZ, I wonder if there might be other young talent the flames have buried without giving a proper shot in favour of stagnant and/or useless vets. I guess we’ll never know.

Lucic with Kadri and Mangiapane might have been fine against the Kings but will tank 2 otherwise potent top 6 players against a better team.

Markstrom, what can you say, 82.8% save percentage, 5 goals on 7 high danger chances. Not going to bring the flames above 30th in the league in save percentage with that kind of play.

On the other hand, do the obvious thing and bring in some players to bump Lucic and Lewis from their current roles, and have goaltending rise above 30th place, and the team is looking good.

A win is a win. Even if it’s sloppy along the way. They did things tonight that you can build off of which is always a good thing

May be save this when the team got clobbered 6-0?

the panel made a really good point about young players bringing energy to the line up .. think the Flames could only benefit from a Pelletier or Phillips look up here

I would MUCH rather have one of those two opposite of huberdeau than Lewis

Haha okay #1 fanboy. Like I said, 5 goals and inches away from giving away another multi-goal lead.. but the other team is ALWAYS just lucky while the Flames are perfect.

Markstrom is lucky you can’t buyout a player during the regular season. He’s awful right now and I think this team would be better with Vladar and Wolfe.

So the 5th goal wasn't a fluke? 3rd goal?

Yeah Marky has had a rough start but some of the goals the Flames have allowed to develop aren't his fault.

You can't leave snipers wide alone in the dots with zero pressure. They've done that numerous times this season - something they need to tighten up on.

Yeah, did that go off Hanafin? I was only able to catch the highlight clips on the Sportsnet app tonight but looked like it may have redirected off his block attempt.

The 2nd goal - to give them a 2-1 lead.

And the 4th goal which cut the lead to 6-4 and gave the Kings life were the issue.

Especially the 4th goal, that’s a spot in the game where you hope he can shut it down, the Flames gave up nothing in the third up to that point, and then their first half chance goes in and it’s a close game again.

He makes the big save tonight but let’s not act like he was good tonight.

I'd really only blame Markstrom for the 2nd goal which was really bad.

It'd be nice to see him save the 4th goal from Kopitar but that's terrrrrrible defensive coverage.
