Doesn't matter, Otherland will vote UCP even if Putin was the leader. I've learned not to put and hope into them making reasonable well thought out decisions.

Peter McCullough? I think he was just stripped of his medical certifications and some of his editor positions. If I'm not mistaken he was publishing his own work as an editor of some journals.
He did have that amazing appearance on Joe Rogan with such gems as "it's impossible to get covid twice" ...

Firing Dr. Hinshaw is a pretty disgusting way to treat her after everything she did to help navigate the pandemic. She definitely wasn’t the problem, although I can’t imagine she’s losing any sleep not having to take direction from our Ivermectin-loving premier. The next election can’t come soon enough.

Frankly...I'm pretty happy about it.
Hinshaw wasnt perfect there were a lot of flaws and mistakes, but she did a hard job under nearly impossible circumstances.
Now she gets a salary, her pension and a severance and she doesnt have to deal with this bull#### anymore. Seems like a pretty good reward to me.
All she has to deal with is the ignominy of being fired, albeit she was fired by an unelected lunatic so that ought to soften the blow significantly.
Its as close to 'Riding off into the Sunset' as Public Work gets.

The problem is Smith fired her because she was too extreme in her response, not because she allowed her orders to be politically manipulated. Like, she somehow thinks Alberta went too far in it's medically necessary covid response. That's why I have a problem with it.

Personally I'd take being fired by a nutjob like Smith as a badge of honour. I'd put it on my resume.
Its not all doom and gloom though, I read a few articles about Jaffe and he seems like he's got a solid head on his shoulders.
Being appointed by a nutjob like Smith however does cast some doubt, but he has a long and illustrious resume of working for some fairly top notch endeavours. Time will tell I suppose.
