What are you trying to show with the map? That you don't understand the concept of population density?
No, that the Rs won the popular vote by 6 points... Which also doesn't make sense because it's more or less exactly in proportion to the races called for them (210 is 51.8% of races called so far).

I've seen maps that account for population rather than land area and they tend to look more like this:
The fact that elections come out very close and that anything approaching even double digit difference is considered landslide territory makes it obvious to anyone except the most rabidly partisan that the map Yoho posted isn't representative of anything other than a mindset.
the fact that some people will point to this map and think they can prove something with it, while completely ignoring basic factors like population, is incredibly depressing.

It's interesting, right now the Democrats have won or are leading in 219 districts. And there's one California district that the Republicans are only up by 200 votes with only 50% reporting (and the majority of remaining votes are in the heavier Democratic counties). So them hitting the 218 threshold isn't as crazy as it sounds.
Still, a good number of their leads are quite slim. So basically everything would have to go their way to get there which is presumably why most people expect the Republicans to have control. It's not impossible though.
There's a lot of in-fighting on conservative forums with Trump publicly attacking DeSantis, especially after how pathetic the MAGA candidates did in the midterms. If this keeps up the GOP could eat itself alive before 2024
I'm thinking we'll see opinions on Trump from Democrats shift from "Lock him up" to "Eh, let him do his thing"
Sadly no, with Arizona, Nevada and Georgia it would be 51-49. But now you can pit one against the other and get you to 50, so at least more options that way.
