It could have played a bit of a factor, but in reality, all of these northern NA events right now are up against poor weather. There are also 80 points up for grabs for whoever wins this event, and that's no slouch for anyone trying to crack the top 100.
You'd think there would be quite a few more Americans up here playing the Canadian challenger swing with the dollar so advantageous and travel not overly taxing from Calgary to Drummondville and on to the other US events afterwards.

Unfortunately no, but I watched quite a bit of it on the Challenger TV site that streamed the match. He played great tonight.

Groups have come out for the ATP finals
Green Group:
FAA
Ruud
Fritz
Nadal
Red Group:
Tsitsipas
Medvedev
Rublev
Djokovic
Safe to say the Green group is the easier group.

Two Russians in the Red Group, makes sense.

Leylah converted 6/7 break points and Trevisan got to 30 on her own serve exactly twice in the entire match, broken at love twice... it wasn't even competitive. So I'm not sure what to draw from that.

It will be interesting to see the match-ups on Friday versus Switzerland. Do you want Leylah to take on Bencic and Bianca to face Teichmann? Vice-versa?

I want Leylah to take on Bencic because if Bencic isn't serving well that matchup is curtains for her. Frankly neither is a good matchup though really.
Dash are you watching these matches? Are either of Bianca or Leylah serving well?

I didn't see the Leylah match, but she did record only two double faults in the match (which is pretty good). Bianca wasn't serving great to start the match, but picked things up as the match progressed.

I have tickets for tomorrow. I've not been to that center. How's the parking and access? Is it pretty busy or you just walk in with no lineups?

Vasek just won the opening set in a tie-break over Vacherot. Crowd is giving Pops plenty of support.
Edit: Vasek hammers 14 aces to advance in straight sets 7-6 6-3.

Alexis Galarneau won the last match of the night in straight sets which means he, Vasek, and Gabriel are into the final eight in Calgary.

Switzerland throws a wrench into the works selecting Golubic to take on Bianca in the opening match.
Edit: Canada takes the opening set 6-2. Bianca playing high quality tennis in that first set, serving well and being very aggressive.
