I'm really glad that we don't have to pretend that this piece of #### is deserving of sympathy. This ####ing lunatic, allegedly, held a gun to the mother of his kids, is an alleged wife beater, and is an overall piece of human garbage. Oh and ya. The rape allegations.

He shouldn't even be in the league. Thoughts and prayers for his gun holding hand/wrist

Yeah I'm not going to even pretend to take the high road here. #### that guy. It's not like I'm watching the clip cheering and clapping, but I definitely thought to myself "Well, if it was going to happen, glad it was him"

Honestly, if you hate him that much do you need to share? I hate the player and the supposed person he is, but even if I had some of the negative thoughts on here I would keep that to myself.

Let's be a little classy here.

Normally you feel bad, I felt nothing. Guy is a loser and shouldn't be in the NHL in the first place.

At least he gave the Oilers a massive discount in free agency, he might end up being physically and morally damaged goods.

I dislike Kane the player and Kane the person based on everything I have heard about him. I feel nothing about this. I don’t wish him hurt but also don’t feel bad for him.

Seems like some Flames fans on Twitter became Kane fans overnight in the search for likes and follows.

I had a less severe cut across my wrist a few years ago. There is no way Kane recovers his shot for the playoffs. That's a tough loss for the Oil (which I like) but I still want to see him recover next year so he can continue being an unlikable wiener.

Yeah, but the Oilers are a losing team. How does that make sense?

Although not direct cause and effect, all indications are Kane is a ####ty human, as someone once said, play ####ty life games get ####ty life prizes, karma and all that.

Might be hard to Kucherov him to the playoffs. 4 months puts him around the end of February first week of March. Still a month and a half left in the season at that point. Kucherov was deemed "healthy" by the masses because he looked could to go before the typical 5 month recovery.

Kane would have to have some set backs for him to be out a month and a half longer than the typical recovery time. If anything the Oilers doctors are more likely to push him to play shortly after Christmas.

12 games into the season and the Flames have 14 players with 4 or more points.

The oilers have played 14 games and they 9 players with 4 or more points.

The Oilers scoring has come from for the most 7 players. 5 forwards carry the team and they just lost one of them (could make a case 3 of the top 5 are being carried by the top 2 forwards).

It will be interesting to see who steps up and gets the opportunity to play some hockey as Kane was getting 19:30 a game. Most likely candidates all have been bad.

Puljujarvi
Yamamoto
Holloway
McLeod

Yamamoto is already getting 16 mins a game so IMO 1 of the other 3 is getting a huge bump. All are RFA's. Holland is going to overpay 1 of these guys after a season of time with McDavid. Can't wait.

They are also in a tough spot if someone else goes down

They can't afford him to be out. As much as he gets big points due to his ice time with McDavid and Leon, you can make a case he has bumped their production too. Kane out and someone like Puljujarvi on the top line makes the top line less dangerous. This actually makes them a threat to miss the playoffs now as even minor injuries to Nuge or Hyman could kill their season.

Unless their goalies pull a 180 here real quick.

Yep even with Kane the Oilers record was pretty average and honestly they were pretty fortunate in a couple of those wins. They cant just throw their sticks on the ice and make the playoffs like Tampa or Chicago of years past.

All I'm going to say is I hope he recovers the injury so he can live a normal day to day life. As for his career, I don't much care if he does or does not.

I think he's a terrible person, but I don't wish harm or take joy from the injury, and hope he recovers.

He's going to have a lot of time on his hands. The Oilers might be wise to assign him a chaperone to keep him out of bars and casinos.
