Heh, I think the supply chain is getting better (at least it feels like for stuff even outside of video game consoles).

I thought I also saw news about how they've sold 25 million PS5's now. Basically around the same pace (a little ahead?) of the PS4 after the same amount of time.

I know a guy who canceled his PS5 pre-order and was eventually able to one. You can't expect to just walk into a store or go on Amazon or BestBuy and see one sitting there. You have to sign up to the stock alert sites and jump on it right away.

Yeah if you put any type of effort into finding one you should have been able to get one by now.

A couple weeks back I think places had it in stock for multiple days online.

Stores just aren't bothering to send stock to physical locations because why bother, put it online and it's sold out in 1-2 days max anyways.

Just started playing Horizon Forbidden West. My goodness is it ever a pretty game. Guerilla Games has done an incredible job with the game plus giving options for what you want for graphic fidelity. I went with the performance mode and it's great. I wanted to go down the VRR route but my TV (X900H) doesn't seem to be able to do HDR + VRR at the same time.

Last year at the Best Buy by my place, they were allowing you to sign up on a physical list as well in the store, and they'd call you when they got enough in to chip away at it.

Kinda funny because I hadn't heard anything in 3 months, then finally went to inquire and they told me they had to stop doing that...then a couple months later they called me to say they had one. So I guess they resurrected the list? (but I had already acquired one by then)

They may be doing this again? I'm not sure, but worth asking anyway.

Wandered into Gamestop in Chinook and they had PS5's available for purchase. Saw a few people grab them while I was waiting in line.

God of War Ragnarok is coming out at a near perfect time with this awful weather we have been having. I hadn’t played a GoW game until a couple of years ago when I got the PS5 and the PS4 version was a free download. It was an amazing game and due to being a bit of a reboot of the series I was not missing out on not playing the previous generation versions of the game.

Looks to be rated 10/10 from all the major gaming outlets so no doubt it will be an amazing game. Remembrance Day long weekend, winter weather is the perfect storm for some serious gaming coming up this weekend

Gotham knights pc patch is so bad lol . Half of the patch is just how the games saves which would have been my least concern. Like the patch dosen't really do much......there is like no performance upgrade at all . Which is alot of users main complaint . I went from 86 fps to 93 .

3090 now at 42% vs 38% usage and cpu was at 2% usage to............2% usage . The whole game still looks and feels the same. Thanks WB....

Ok maybe not enough context.
It's 93 fps in the best of conditions but the lows are often 30 fps so the game can stutter ALOT but closer to sub 40 fps highs with rtx and in the open world . The world is not as detailed as cyper punk is.

With a strix 3090 I have to play with settings down , no rtx and dllss on quality but a min 7 setting on sharpening. Why is my card only using like 40% . Why is the performance limited to a console experience? Spiderman remastered, God of war etc was awesome full performance no issues ever.

Gotham knights often screen tears, can see so much artifacting ,latency sucks, game mechanics are bad compared to arkam games , can't string moves like previous games. The story lines are so good but the game issues with mechanics and scenes freezing takes you right our of it.

Hm if the story lines are good might be worth a bargain bin pickup at some point.

Looks like the PS5 shortage is finally over. I picked one up at EB Games 130th.

They gave me $375 for my PS4 Pro too, I think that trade in bonus ends tomorrow.

I called first and the person that answered was actually helpful.

Apparently with the console versions of Modern Warfare II (the current one not the other one) the disc only comes with a tiny bit of the game... you still have to download the 100GB of game code!

So discs are now just license keys.

What a world.

I’m a few hours into God of War Ragnarok and somehow they topped the “stranger” opening from the last game.

Spoiler!

Having a casual drink with Odin and Thor before fighting Thor in the first hour of the game was wild.

Can’t wait to see where this story goes.

I still can't believe the voice actor of that "Stranger" in the first game was this guy in Saving Private Ryan.



And no wonder he won the BAFTA for the role.
