It truly was. And it wasn’t even Ovechkins best play of the night. He had a nasty deke between two defenders and Skinner got just a piece of the shot before it rang off the post. The Oilers hype train is applauding the tenacity of the Oilers for making it close. But with all the posts and near misses the Caps could’ve easily hung 10. While missing half their roster. You just love to see it.
