Hubes and Weegs play better in the eastern time zone. Expect big things.

That defense is starting to look very Oileresque.
We need some of those bodies back.

Games in hand don't matter if you don't win them.
The winning streak needs to start tonight.
US Thanksgiving is coming and it's tough to make the playoffs if you aren't in a playoff spot at that milestone.

A win tonite would have them above Snake pace which is what really matters

Sorry, but I don't think Mackey was a bad as some of you make out. Just because he's not one of your favourites. You're all prepared to give Weegar and Huberdeau time to settle in but jump all over the new guy. Give it a rest.

Heberdeau and Weegar have track records of being top NHLers. Mackey does not. Mackey was on the ice for the three first goals against and was at least partially at fault for all of them. There is a massive difference here.

Have no fear guys. I will be at the game tonight and tomorrow to bring some good juju. I will be wearing my Lucic Blasty as it seemed to bring good luck in these buildings last year. Go Flames!

me too! nothing worse than opting for the game at 8pm , eventually realizing you wasted your time and being in a foul mood but having to go to bed shortly after
if they suck we can still salvage the rest of the day and have a fighting chance to end it on a positive note

I think you kind of answered your own question here. It seems clear to me that Sutter is prepared to log his top four a tonne, and that is why he has Mackey and DeSimone together. This is precisely what I would do in his place.

I think the main benefit of road trips is being in a situation over a period of days where the primary focus is hockey and at the same time distractions being eliminated . I don't think it works like a light switch .. but hopefully they can carry over the same level of effort from last game at least

I don't know a lot about DeSimone; it sounds like he's got some promise. Unfortunately there's no way he's good enough to cover for Mackey's poor play. You probably don't want that 3rd pair to play more than 10 minutes.

Mackey has been Stockton’s best D last year. DeSimone, was the 2nd best D. I don’t think he will be covering for Mackey, but some familiarity might help with them reading off each other better than what Mackey has shown so far. As for the pairing I’m not expecting it to see more than 12mins tonight(probably closer to 10), in relatively sheltered situations.
