Another game the officials have to get involved in the outcome. Don't call anything on the Devils in the third but have to make sure they call that.

Positives: they looked like a capable hockey team for the 2nd/3rd. Markstrom pretty good. Rooney benched.

Negatives: PP still can’t do anything, Huberdeau just sort of there, but mainly the defense can’t do anything but give up A+ opportunities.

At least this homestand is finally done

I was pretty hard on him early, so I’ll acknowledge that Mackey was better in limited shifts as game went on. But we can’t have him playing much going forward or the team will be hurting.

Big point for a slumping team. What I was most happy to see was a very strong game by Markstrom making many saves of the very difficult variety. Team defensive play is pretty bad right now which led to way too many high danger chances against. But very good to see that while some fans have given up on the team, the players haven't as they were able to pull through and get this thing to OT before losing on a 4 on 3 PP against.

Not only that, but to throw him on the PK after being benched and cold.

Lucic gets benched for taking penalties. Lindy makes a risky move in OT expecting refs to put the whistles away. Team undisciplined.

At least shortening the bench got more minutes for the struggling guys out there to work out whatever is in their system. Huberdeau still hasn't found it.

Just watched the third. Weak call on Lindholm in overtime, especially after Kadri was tackled at the end of regulation.

Buh-bye Saddledome.

Will the “your starter needs to make a big save” crowd finally get off Marky’s back? Good fight back to salvage a point after a horrendous start and lost on what was a horrible obstruction call in OT. Take the point and the positives (heroic effort by the D) and head out on the road.

The kind of game that gets a team out of a hole and onto a win and then a winning streak.

Refs missed a lot of interface in the 3rd from the Devil's, but they don't miss a beat on the soft call in OT. Makes sense.
New Jersey is good though. Might not be a contender this season, but they look like they'll be dangerous from here on out.
Does Hughes remind anyone else of Gaudreau a little bit?

refs ignore 3 straight NJ infractions in the 3rd, call a dive in OT. Another 1 sided officiated game.

This team is extremely bad and yet I think they may be okay.

The refs went out of their way to ignore obviously penalties against NJ towards the end of the third, and then make the softest possible call in OT.

Flames battled hard, got back into the game and had the refs steal it from them.

He benched him because he sucked. Won one face off all night. The mistake was playing him in OT. He's starting to hold the vets accountable. What other choice does he have?

That General Zad hit on Hischier was fantastic though.
