Yikes, the only thing right here is just laying off Singh's pronunciation. But Nazim Kadri's name has Arabic origins, not Persian. I hear a lot of Punjabi, Arabic, and Farsi (since someone brought it up). They are not related and they do not sound at all alike. Singh is pronouncing Kadri like it's Punjabi which is just an odd thing to do. But I suspect people wouldn't get so worked up over it if he wasn't racialized. Mind you if a white announcer tried to pronounce it like that, it would come over as racist.

Right, this is called tolerance. When someone doesn't get it exactly right, you don't criticize them.

And when someone pronounces it with an affliction that makes it sound more exotic, you tolerate it as well.

That's it, that's the whole deal. Tolerance and acceptance of slight differences.
