When I see the things that guys like Stern and Doman are trying to do, it makes me shake my head at how useless CSEC is. They have zero vision or creativity when it comes to marketing and branding. All their sports properties play in the oldest and dumpiest buildings in their respective leagues, they need to do more to lure fans to the games. Even the Flames are no longer selling out every game. The only good thing about CSEC is that they can always pay the bills and keep the lights on. In regards to being engaged and active owners, they pale in comparison to what the group led by Forzani was doing when they owned the team.

Victor Cui up in Edmonton is doing some really good things with the Elks as well it seems. I've seen some very creative ideas from them since he was hired and he is very much a man of the people by all accounts. The league needs to hire as many of these minds as possible.

Celebrated Square Root Day

No one can ever expect CSEC to do anything to gain or protect current ticket buyers. They operate as a business and have shown almost zero ability to pivot or be proactive in keeping/attaining new fans in a changing sports market.
They have a simple profit maxing strategy that takes their current ticket buying base and does everything to extract as much as they can from that. No forward thinking, no understanding of what is happening to pro sports, no understanding that the new generation is pretty underwhelmed by pro sports.
They just don't understand or care about getting people in to make them lifelong, season ticket buying fans or retain them at a discount. I mean they are still doing the outdated "15000 seats sold for $650k is better than 19289 seats sold at $750k" approach to pricing tickets. They're dinosaurs, it's just more amplified at Stamps games than Flames games, to the point where only hardcore, longtime Stamps fans have ANY interest in attending games and therefore following the team. You literally can't get in the building for under $40 now after fees, in the far reaches on ****ing high school bleachers. They are ****ing braindead.

But as someone mentioned, at the very least we have an ownership group that will keep the lights on and spend to the cap (for now).

It would be some kind of awesome if they held the Lions to 10 points today.

Agreed....and it would lower the stress level exponentially.
But this is the Stamps and its a playoff game.
Im thinking it comes down to a late score.
23-21 Stamps on a Parades 47 yarder with less than 45 seconds left. Then its hang on to your ass time.

A lot of focus on Carey and Mills (and rightly so), but the Lions have a pretty good RB in their own right in James Butler. Key for the Stamps to get off to a good start today and try to shut down Butler or at least minimize his touches.

If both Philpot brothers have big games today, I for one will not object.

It is rarely a good result when a QB is throwing off his back foot, that's for sure.

Hamilton needs to pull Evans and go with Shiltz for the next series.
Edit: Offense looks completely different since Shiltz came into the game.
