Brutal effort tonight this team isn't playing with chemistry or structure. If it wasn't for Markstrom we lose by 5-6 IMO.

You have to go back to what got you 5-1 to start the year at least with the most dominant line we've had (88-91-29)

From there i'm much more open. Would't even mind keeping 17-28-71 as they had their chances 5 on 5 and moving Huberdeau to a line with Backlund and Coleman who IMO are better players than Bennett and Duclair which he had success with in Florida.

Or we just have awful luck and every 2nd/3rd/4th string goalie we play has the game of their life. 50/50.

Ritchie, Lewis and Lucic all played more than Backlund and Coleman at 5v5

That’s part of your problem

Sutter falling in love with 4th liners and Stone way too much

I do think Huberdeau and Backlund could look good. Backlund has been mostly good this year and I feel like would move the puck quickly and be in position for Huberdeau too.

We went from one line with no chemistry to multiple lines with no chemistry. Sometimes you can overcorrect and Sutter did just that. He needed to let Toffoli, Lindy, and Huberdeau figure things out.

More bad moments than good. Markstrom was full value at least. Oh well. On to Saturday. Being home for seven weeks straight sucks.

I didn't really think though he had the game of his life. When it looked like they could generate a good chance they always seemed to find ways to screw it up.

tkachuk has something like 13 or 14 points as of tonight.

Our best player is Kadri and he has 10 points.

This isn’t a matter of a new system or a new team. Professionals don’t need this long to adapt.

Hard not to be disappointed by Huby and Weegar so far.
Weegar passing is awful too. And he doesn't really good to carry the puck out of zone. I hope this is just he's learning the system. At the moment he needs Tanev.

That one stunk. Should have won the last 2 - can't say that about this one.

I'm not going to pin this on the goalies but that's another game where the opposition goalie has a better save % than the Flames goalie.

To me Toffoli and Lindholm shouldn’t be on the same line (RH shoot first players)

I don’t like Kadri or Mangiapane on the same line either, feel on top of each other a lot.

Neither Rooney or Ruzicka have looked good.

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Mangiapane
Dube - Kadri - Toffoli
Coleman - Backlund - Phillips/Pelletier
Lucic - Lewis - Ritchie

Some bad luck tonight, lots of crossbars hit.

But the team does look disjointed and uninterested. No chemistry at all on the forward lines.

Need Huberdeau, Lindholm, Dube, and Mangiapaine to step up. If even one of them gets hot they should get out of this rut.

LOL, Edmonton choked late!

Was 3-2 Edmonton and Graves ties it late with 3:15 left.
Next faceoff, Bratt gets a breakaway and scores 7 seconds later to take the lead.
