He changes the lines by putting Lucic on the 2nd line last game. It clearly didn't work (see square peg round hole), then tries it again the following game.

Again, I like Sutter and I wouldn't trade him for another coach but if you have any judge of character just watch him in a press conference and you will know what I mean.

Or see post #356. Kootenay writes it better than me.

Mangiapane has bee the biggest disappointment I was always nervous paying him. He creates nothing and does nothing got paid for a heater to start last season.

After the off season changes there was quite a bit of chatter that Calgary was the favourite to win a Stanley Cup. I always said to myself “but THIS is the Calgary Flames we’re talking about.” Never bet on a Calgary sports team is what I have learned over the years.

Look like a team that is too afraid to make a mistake, and has had the fun and creativity sucked out of the game a bit.

Whatever the discussion was in the room after the loss to the oilers seemed to break them a bit

Okay..........just one goal before the 3rd. Give yourself a chance, give the crowd some energy. Right now this is an extremely easy road shutout for the Preds.

The Kadri line was fantastic. The Bucklund line was ok. The top line wasn't great.

Changing all the lines made this team go from 2 good lines, and two 'meh' lines to all 4 bad lines. It isn't working, and it doesn't make sense to stay with them. Not sure what Sutter is thinking right now.
That's what I'm seeing. 4 bad lines. At least the ineffective first line was taking the tough matchups and freeing space for other lines.

Just saw the score. Yeesh...what is going on? These guys were playing some really good hockey over the first three weeks of the season, but they've really fallen off a cliff during these last two games. It's weird.

That looked like a bit of a flop. But they still usually call that.

You have to remember that Sutter is well known as coach with a best before date...a shelf life. There were a couple of comments in interviews of both Coleman and Lucic that made reference to the "boss in the room" and bag skates. Grown men will tolerate that s**t for only so long. Sutter might be going nuts on them....?

Seriously though........is there a flu or something going though the team? Because that would make a lot of sense.

Sure wish Sutter would consider matching lines to try and generate some offense when down 3-0.

So his shelf life was 5 or 6 games into this season? I don't buy that.
