Not yet. Hopefully to start the 2nd. Because this is worse hockey than it was before the lines were switched. There is no flow or energy at all. Everyone looks lost.

Neither is Lindy, Lewis, Lucic, Mangiapane, Backlund, Dube, Ritchie, Rooney, Toffoli, or Coleman.

I think it's setting up for Treliving to go hunting for a top 6 winger. Definitely need some finishing skill added to the top 6 fw. And I think it's a pretty glaring and evident need to address.
It's just one piece. How you manage to get that without making the sacrifice off of the d corps and managing the cap hit is something I leave to wizards to figure out.

Thoroughly garbage period in the first, aside from the PK which was good.
It hurts seeing the Flames finally put together a half decent shift and then Rooney-Lewis-Ritchie jumps over the boards and they’re chasing again. Those guys aren’t even good AHLers.

Lucic was playing well on the fourth line and Toffoli was probably the best player last game….

I likely has more to do with spending time with the team every day. When you play at home, you can go back to your house and disconnect from the game. On the road, it's you and the team. As a fan, I'm looking forward to the road trip.
Let's hope for a more energetic second period.

I guess it’s better for the Flames that they struggle now than later. But it definitely sucks watching them play sloppy

all I know is mangiapane and lindholm are way better than this . they were studs last season . should be leading the way and being examples for the new players coming in for what flames hockey is about (only backs has done this)
instead were relying on the new guys with no familiarity to save us ..

Why did we even switch lines? Because 1 wasn’t working 5v5 but three were?
Switching lines with a 5-2 record coming off a loss where they didn’t even play that bad is super questionable. Top line might have gotten going on their own

Neither is good. You get too comfortable going home and seeing your family everyday and you start to not be as mentally sharp as you should be because of other distractions.
On the road you can just concentrate on playing but playing in different time zones and staying in different hotels can catch up to you after a while.

Looking deeply disjointed right now and why, just why did it have to be Mark Jankowksi, guy played with all the urgency and excitement of a registry office when he was here. They will figure it out there's too much talent, experience and compete on this roster and behind that bench to be a Hindenburg. When will they sort it out is the sketchy bit right now.

Kadri's line was good before the Huby switch.

One thing we know is Sutter will run a stretch of games with lines as they are and see where they stand on paper after. I'm guessing he figures he has about 25 games to figure this group out.

Alright, keeping the lines together. Worked well so far, why not.
