Why wouldn’t they. They made a dream trade for a rebuilding team. Take this 1st round pick to absorb our former 1st line 28 year old center who only has a year left on his deal. They will likely trade Monny at 50% to a playoff team and get a 2nd in return.

Valimaki was even on the night and scored an ES goal (first of the season) in the Yotes 7-2 loss against the Stars last night.
It appears that he's settling in nicely on the Yotes' third pairing.
