Missed opportunity on that one, they chose the wrong part of the word. "That's vag, bro".

Mmm. It’s a dumb term, but I don’t agree that doing your job duties is lazy or selfish.

The term Quiet Quitting is being so butchered.

The general concept of don’t work unpaid time, don’t take unpaid calls outside of work, and do the job you were hired to do should be normal behaviour that doesn’t need a term.

That’s a lot different then what you want to define quiet quitting as. The messiness of this definition really ruins the whole thing.

It really should be called doing the job you are paid to do.

It's essentially work-to-rule. A lot of great ideas get undermined by bad tag lines: e.g. Defund the police

The quiet-quitting idea seems like a bit of short-sighted way to look at things, though. You should certainly avoid being taken advantage of all the time, but things can swing both ways - I always made up for my 'extra' work by taking a few long lunches, dentist appt during work hours, etc. If your job doesn't reciprocate that flexibility then its time to look for a new one.

Urge to kill rising…

So many dumb Fuchs who can’t stay in a lane even when they’re visible are completely lost today.

It’s no longer “bro”… less than 5 years ago it transitioned to “bruh”

slowing down to unreasonable speeds on a flat road makes you more of a hazard , not less. sure you are less likely to get lodged in a snow bank but now you are more likely to get slammed into by people going reasonable speeds . especially if you are wandering

If they're following the plow lines... I seem to recall it was divided on this site when we last discussed whether to follow plow lines or lane location.

It’s lane location. If everyone did that they would get cleared properly and both lanes would be usable. If there’s a foot of snow maybe I can see that point but when it’s almost gone just drive on it, especially you pussies with your 4x4s.

The worst is when the lane is mostly clear but there’s like 10cm of snow at the curb. Those people are in the next lane because they can’t even stay anywhere near the snow. They treat it like the curb. Ponderous.

Listen early 2000s Honda Accord, if you have to back up and take another run at it to get over an icy SPEED BUMP in a ####ing parking lot, it might be time to retire those 10 year old all seasons you're sporting.

Plow lines,

They become the lane markers on in plowed roads. Provided you aren’t decreasing total number of lanes intentionally decreasing control and traction is foolish.

I will say when the roads are covered with snow and people can't see the lines it's pretty funny how many people have no concept of following the outside curbs and instead drive somewhere in the middle taking up both lanes.

Absolutely if it’s just working your defined hours, no problem with that, but it’s being commandeered by people that just want to do the bare minimum. The ‘that’s not my job’ crowd. Those people gmg.
