Epic team collapse.

They score 3 goals on 8 shots in the third.

Out-goalied again.

We sure sound like a great bunch cancelling Huberdeau already lol.

Guy just started a brand new hockey journey, going from polar opposite cities in every way, getting used to new teammates and he has 5 points in 8 games playing some pretty average hockey.

Can we give him a little bit more time before we talk about his contract being terrible? lol

Huberdeau looked like a Make-A-Wish kid out there. I can understand needing system/chemistry adjustment. For 10.5, complete a few passes man.

Darryl just called him out. So sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. He hasn't looked that great.

I think he thinks he’s better than he is and tries to do too much instead of playing within himself. It’s especially apparent in big games or high leverage situations.

5 goals on an xga of 1.84 is also pretty crappy.

Getting beaten high on the first goal is brutal. There was a ton of space. I know it's the style but he makes himself way way way too small on any shot attempt.
The winning goal, a pretty pedestrian pass across the ice and he was not only low, he was somehow already almost flat on his stomach.

I dont disagree. Hes been average and had a rough game. I'm not talking about Sutter being soft on him. I'm talking about people on this board talking about his contract after 8 damn games.

Huby has been like 1.2 PPG for 4 straight years . he didn't fluke into that

have to let things come together . I challenge forum members here not to judge the player until at least December

'Disappointed' doesnt cover it. This team has a lot of work to do before people are happy enough to be described as 'disappointed.'

They couldn’t even muster a chance to tie it. Throwing pucks blindly into the slot, not taking shots and a lack of chemistry it seemed.

Kadri had a bad game as he made a lot of plays that were frustrating.

We need to find some line chemistry.

I would like to see:

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Mangiapane
Dube-Kadri-Toffoli

It's still early but VERY underwhelmed with Huberdeau so far. Could be a loooooong 9 years.
Lindy struggling to find his Selke-caliber game without the two other guys.
Goaltending/Defense has been pretty shaky this season for what should be our strength.
Some brutal turnovers tonight.

Teams scoring depth has been solid, but at the moment we don't have a first line.

yeah expecting vladar to save 2 of those 5 would be reasonable . he went down very early on some of those shots

obviously an off game for him and that's it though .. this writing players off is laughable

As for Huberdeau, thought for the last week or so that I think he's put far too much pressure on himself, starting with the commitment he made to the city and community for the next 8 years and the obligation he feels he has to make a difference, and also the impact he expects and he expects the fans to get out of him. 5 points in 8 games still, but he looks a little lost right now for sure.
