I think in the short term a 10-12k seat model could work reasonably well for a lot of small-mid size markets, but killing off any hope for an average joe/family to buy cheaper tix would probably hurt the total audience.

The Mullett Arena is open. ASU is playing the opening game tonight: https://pac-12.com/live?networks=P12I

There is a big Sun Devils logo at centre ice and no Coyotes logo anywhere on the ice that I can see.

I’m pretty sure I read that the coyotes are not allowed to put their logo on ice.

The centre ice logo is just ASU for their opening weekend only — it'll be shifted back to the dual logos afterward.

The Coyotes and ASU will both have their logos on the ice, that was in the agreement from the beginning — most major outlets misreported it.

Josh Doan scored the first goal at Mullett arena for ASU. Beautiful

Have to admit that's kind of cool and fitting that a Doan to scored the first goal.

LOL. Will the visitors' "showers" be a garden hose with a spray attachment?

Haha... how are the other owners ok with that? Their multi million dollar rosters are being made to change in trade show quality dressing room before playing in NHL games that actually count towards league standings, thereby generating revenue etc. This is super messy. Embarrassing as #### for the league as a whole.

The mascot will likely have a better changing room than the visiting team.

The Rangers are one of the teams they're playing on this home stand, so it should be fun to see how the NY media reacts to it.

I can only imagine the outrage if poor Saint Connor had been required to use those facilities.

Hey now, we double sheeted the changing rooms at trade shows

I think it's a great strategy for the home team as you want to make the visiting facilities as uncomfortable as possible so the only thing on the players minds during the game is getting the hell out of there.

So the pro athletes won't get super plush locker rooms for a while. What a shame.

The league has literally zero shame, it's been demonstrated a million times. All that matters is money and how to get more money. That market has potential so on with the show lol. I'm convinced the league would pretty much cover up any crime if the cost/benefit lined up

The Coyotes should be made to give up their dressing room and change in this make-shift room, instead.

Just have them put on their equipment and skates (w/ skateguards) at the hotel and show up ready to play. It will bring back some fond memories of tiny mite days!

Hey, if this makes the visitors room in the Saddledome second worst in the league, I'm all for it
