Yes, We're 5-1... no I don't think the teams full season true talent level is a 68-14 season. That'd be real real nice but unrealistic.
I think they need to wait and see what kind of upgrade they can get. Ultimately it is a top 6 forward. I don't think they need to target a 3rd line upgrade today

Bellows is big and mean, but he’s a pretty one-dimensional player-and he’s not very good in that dimension. Not sure what his mobility is like these days, but his skating was considered pretty bad in the past.

The longer you wait the more of an upgrade you can make though.

That's what we thought about Curtis Lazar too when we got him.

Save the cap space, let it build up, and hopefully at the deadline someone like Konecny is available.

Was benched during the 3rd period the other night (along with Hayes).
But how do you squeeze him in next year?

We need to pick him up just so we can distract ourselves with this absurd 4 day break between games.

Konecny is still fairly young, and he can skate. He could keep up with Lindholm/Huby a lot better than Toffoli. Clear upgrade for the top line IMO. Toffoli has the cup experience though.

I pray we pick up Konecny’s teammate Scott Laughton. Gritty, fast, hard-nosed, defensively responsible, and can put up offense when he gets the opportunity. He would be an amazing fit on the third line with Backs and Coles. Instant Sutter favourite IMO.
