We were out on Saturday and apparently went to a young hipster hang out. It was 100% long hair, mullets, moustaches, ripped jeans, flannel etc.
We were laughing that if we took a picture of the scenes, there’s no way you wouldn’t think it was the 80s.

I've opted for a different tack, I've told them they can do anything they want if they can deal with the consequences.
Poorly chosen tattoos might ###### their ability to be employed as they age.

Unless it’s on the hands or face or for some reason your kids are interested in rocking a visible swastika tattoo, it won’t.
They’re going to be employed by the generation obsessed with tattoos now and people who were at least young enough to get used to them. Old timer peanut gallery in here aside, they’ll be fine.

I knew a guy with one of those on his neck. Hung out at his house in the mid-90s a couple times. Enjoyed Beer Beer Plus, if I recall. Shout out to that guy...had a few fun parties there.

When I was a late teen hockey player, it was all the rage to get some combination of a Maple Leaf, hockey sticks or a Hockey Canada logo tatted on the calf.

I'm not sure I completely agree, there will be and still are some that don't like tattoos.
I mean obviously a Swastika is a no go, but I feel that there will always be a segment of society that view tattoos in a negative way.
I nearly got me blood type tattooed on my forearms and a regimental tattoo on my hand, at 50 I'm glad I didn't do the blood types, but the regimental tattoo would have been a cool keepsake.

I'm not worried about how employable they are. I just don't like looking at tattoos and I'll happily pay $10k to my kids if it means they won't have them to save myself being annoyed.
I think all of my friends have tattoos. Some on their face, neck, sleeves, legs, arms, bellies, backs and everywhere else. Like, they've been popular since I was young. I even have one. Had 7 or 8 laser removal sessions and it's still there so fata it, I'm leaving it.

I remember in High School having a Gym teacher who had a tattoo across his eyes.
It was supposedly some Indian symbol of courage or something. Of course he was the whitest dude-bro ever.

That's a bold tattoo for a white guy. Wonder how he feels in the age of cultural appropriation haha.

Sure, someone out there might still dislike tattoos as many do but it’s going to be more and more difficult to hire based on that dislike. On top of that, you have a whole body’s worth of real estate you aren’t showing off in however many rounds of interviews you go through.

Lots of us that played rugby got club tattoos and in all honesty, I think tattoos are awesome. I'm not personally walking around with face/neck tattoos and that sort of thing, but to each their own I guess.
I was at the bank for an appointment a while ago and the young gentleman who I was meeting had super long hair, wasn't clean shaven and didn't look like a bank employee of say a decade ago. He was casually dressed (but nicely). I noticed, only because I was thinking about how times have changed. It made zero difference to what I was there for and I didn't actually "care".
I've had some extremely professional interactions with people who have full sleeves and it doesn't phase me. A lot of times, I'm just interested in the tattoos and trying to get a look without being creepy!

Friend of ours served in the Russian army when he was young and had his blood type tattooed on his chest, I think it was standard practice. Years later when he moved to Canada he had a medical procedure done, they typed him and he discovered the tattoo was wrong.

HAHAHA
Awesome, I'd been typed a few different times by a few different entities, I was pretty damn sure of my blood type.
