The problem I find is when I see a cool design on a hat or a shirt, the quality of the actual item is terrible. Hanes beefy T’s are not wearable. I’m a snob. I get it. I just like nice quality soft T’s and proportioned hats.

Do folks know which items are great quality?

My issue with hearts are the double embroidery versions. You get a raised embroidery for the C attached to a raised embroidery to the fire making the logo "constructed".

Any hat like that has me looking the other way.

Seems less common now than it was 10 year ago though.

I have 3 or 4 Adidas Flames t-shirts that I quite like. I'm a big dude (tall big, not necessarily "big" big) and I hate t-shirts that have that really high & thick neckline, so I've been pleased with them.

Can't speak to their t-shirts, but I got a Mitchell & Ness crew neck sweatshirt for Christmas last year and it fits and feels like a dream. Anything they make is high quality, but pricey.

I've mentioned Levelwear a couple of times; they're apparently mostly a golf wear company, but I've always been really impressed with their shirts.

Hope that helps!

I really want a bigass Macguyver style Calgary Flames trucker hat. All the caps are the tighter sports fitted cap style which don't sit right on me.

Would love some newEra fitted caps, similar to the baseball caps.

My current favourite is a vintage old schooler ringer t-shirt from the 1989 cup run. I feel like an original hipster when I wear it.

I used to have a nice black Kirpusoff shirt with a skull on it. I loved that shirt. Forgot it on a beach in Croatia and by the time I went back, someone had already picked it up. I hope it still got some use after that! It was my favourite shirt and I haven't seen it for sale since then.

This.

The flames hat selection (and design) is pretty terrible.

Assuming you mean the white one it's likely a one of a kind prop hat, I've never seen another like it anywhere.

tidbit, he was indeed a Flames fan, I can't remember why but I believe there was some sort of family connection with Joel Otto.

Still my fave: '04 team-signed jersey purchased at a charity auction right before The Run. Damn near wore it out right then and there, but she still looks great 18 years later! Has had the odd run-in with beer and/or food but has survived remarkably well.

Coleman sporting some new headwear... I wonder if those are team issued or perhaps custom made:

I can't wait for NewEra hats to come back... I hate the flex fits and snap backs.

I'm almost at the point I'm going to custom make a black blasty fitted hat.

Fanatics is ruining sports merchandise. It's not a coincidence that ever since they took over New Era has been phased out in favour of their garbage quality hats.

The Stampeders hats (New Era) are 10x nicer then all the Flames current offerings.

Seriously, stop trying to stitch the C. Cut a patch, and sew it on. Like a jersey. The threads where the C meets the flames are terrible in either of the only two stupid options they have had for decades.

I got one a year or two ago at a golf course in the Shuswap. They are out there.

The hats that don’t use the weird separated C look great. I have two hats and on both the C looks totally normal. Just like on a jersey. I thought they stopped doing the weird stitching I saw earlier in this thread but apparently not.

Huh, that seems a bit… random.

I searched google and I’m assuming it’s the same company that makes this: https://wearecdn.ca/products/cgy-snapback
