If it keeps up like this we should just go ahead and merge this thread with the "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" thread.

I feel like this next election is one big social experiment to see how crazy she can be and still have people vote for her. There's no way all her supporter's people actually read what she says and nod along, right? It's gotta just be the blind eye folks that think conservative = good, everything else = evil socialism.
But still, this has gotta be some kind of prank or test, right?

Well if the UCP win the next election with an unfiltered nutjob like Smith in charge, then any hope for the province is lost. The cons will see that they can literally say and do whatever they want with no repercussions, and some seriously dark days will be ahead

My wife and I will honestly look into moving out of province if she wins. She will be bad news for this province.

What’s the betting line on them disputing the election if they lose?

So she says one thing to national media and another to her caucus of rubes. I guess we'll see what happens next!

That's the problem. I think there are a lot of people out there who don't pay attention. They will just vote conservative because that's what their family has always done or that's what someone they know is doing.
They don't know anything about Danielle Smith. They remember Kenney doing things that annoyed them during the pandemic (whatever particular thing that annoyed them) and he's been replaced, so it must all be good now.

Please don't say nonsense like this. It's a four year term at most if she gets in not a jail sentence. Sure there's a good chance they are a poor government but it's not like it's going to affect your day to day life. She's basically tanking the election anyway.

It will if you have medical issues. It will if you pay taxes. It will if you planned on depending on your Canadian pension. It will if you are a teacher, HCW, probably any other union by the end of it. It will if you care about the reputation of our province.

That's all fear mongering. I get that they could make some bad decisions but I think people are going a little overboard here. The current UCP term was bad but it really hasn't been that bad relative to what's going on in other provinces as they all have their own issues.

It isn't nonsense. She will screw up healthcare, she will screw up education, she will be bad for the economy, and I really want no part of what she brings to the table. The only nonsense is saying that she won't affect my day to day life.
I've sat through various leaders/parties I didn't always agree with, this is the first leader that I've genuinely felt will #### things up very badly. If she wins I want no part of what she brings to the province.

What facts are you basing your disagreement on? Kenny messed up with COVID and I get that nurses and teachers have been unhappy but my wife is a teacher. It hasn't affected us in the least.

I believe the term is “#### you, got mine.”

If they get in then put your house up for sale and move. Since you have a crystal ball you should be able to find a destination that works out perfect for you.
I'm not defending the UCP or Smith but this thread has become laughable like when the Flames lose a few games in a row and people start calling for firings and trades. If the UCP wins then it's probably not great for the province but it's not like the NDP won't screw up themselves. Just as we are doing federally we will just have to ride it out until we get some better leaders and parties. This is just a really bad time in political history with bad leaders and parties everywhere you turn. You will go nuts if you get overly invested in any of this.

We can start with AISH recipients, how do you think they’ve been doing the last couple of years?
