My god, people have known this with absolute certainty since the time of Aristotle. The only time it was in question was during the Dark Ages when people had no education and could not read? Are we as dumb as those people?

Yes...yes we are.
Even then, I think the problem in agreed science wasn't that the Earth was flat, but rather that it wasn't the center of the known Universe.

Technically the Earth is an oblate spheroid.

Yes yes, I know, but I don't want to deal in semantics. Oblate spheroid (pudgy in the middle sphere) is pretty close to a sphere...much closer than a flat ####ing disc.

Nah. It's just nowadays people have easier and more effective ways of spreading misinformation and disinformation than in eras past.

Those who deliberately deceive others are a problem, but the much bigger problem is that misinformation takes on a life of its own. People seem to have this overwhelming feeling that they know better than others, that they have acquired some kind of special insider knowledge that most people don't have access to, and that they're doing some kind of service to the world by spreading the "knowledge". No one wants to let go of the idea that they are smarter and more informed than the "sheeple masses".

It's Dunning-Kruger sociology.

Yeezys are a collaboration with adidas. They're ugly.
