It's pretty easy to win games when the powerplay ratio is 4:1 in your favor.

Penalties ended up 4-4 with the double-minor. So much for that excuse by Oilers fans.

Oiler fans are so delusional in every way.
I love it when they say that the Flames are NHL darlings and get special treatment from the refs. They are so totally oblivious or in denial that the NHL is pushing McDavid to be the flag carrier for the league and that the Oilers benefit from that. Like really, the NHL is going to market the hell out of McDavid and then try to screw over his team and help their rivals? It doesn't pass the logic test.

This just show Oilers fans are beyond stupid, no team get more pp than the stupid Oilers. They beat the Canucks in their season opener were because of all the PP the got and the refs didn't a blatant highstick they lay on Canucks defenseman.

On the Lindholm / Kadri debate - I think the team knows that Kadri is a more productive player than Lindholm and would probably outproduce him on that 1st line, but he's of more use anchoring a dominant second line.
Huberdeau is the anchor of the 1st line. His center only needs to be as effective as Sam Bennett. I'm not sure Lindholm would produce much with Mangiapane and Dube. 3 pure shooters and not sure anyone would be feeding Lindholm passes in his office there. He's grown accustomed to standing in the high slot getting feeds from Gaudreau and now Huberdeau.

I don't get what benefit the league would have in the Flames getting a new arena per se? What's the logic there by No Good fans?

It means the league is out to get poor widdle Edmonton, and their egos are living off the fact that they got a new arena and we didn't.
You see, if the league were truly fair, the Oilers would spend 60 minutes of every game on a 5-on-3 power play, and the only good arena in the world would be in Edmonton. ‘Fair’ = ‘I get everything I want and nobody else gets anything.’

How can you tell the difference between last year's quality and this year's quality? I can't see the difference. It was mediocre last year and it is mediocre this year.

hack the dmans face , he goes down fishing for his stick with a bloodied face and they score with the resulting open ice . could very well be argued they should be 1-4 right now and maybe the Canucks are on a totally different trajectory if not for the ref aided comeback . right .... we're the leagues darlings . another goal was a result of interference too
they are given the booster chair , a bib and fed when in rogers place, seemingly every game there

I found it funny how much crap Markstrom was getting in the GT and in this PGT a little still for the 3rd Carolina goal that was called back.
This is the moment the puck was released:
Yeah, no wonder he didn't seem to react fast enough.
I know we were collectively disappointed by Markstrom in the Edmonton series, but there's a large contingent of this fanbase that seems extremely eager to blame him for every goal against already this season.

gotta love those braindead Oilers fanboys from the ATL. Not only are they bad at Maths, but the idea that the refs are giving us PPs so that we can get a new arena is something else.

2 goal comeback was big. Marky needed that 3rd and OT and did not disappoint. The 2nd period showed we can dominate top teams. 4min kill in 3rd was epic. Not pretty but gutted it out. Great snipe at the end. Need more 1 timers in regulation.

I saw some Oiler dope have the audacity to call Harnarayan Singh "a Flames homer with a bias against the oil" the other day and I just about did a spit take. Those grease fans are so out of touch with reality, it's really quite impressive.

It could be that I cancelled my satellite and am running strictly on SNNOW. But I don't remember the board adds from last year. I remember the end glass adds that seemed to be less frequent throughout the year.
This year there are moments where the adds Flicker in front of the player. Moments where the whole picture is jittery. When the broadcast switches to and up close camera the video quality is 10 fold better because there is no overlay.
It's not the adds themselves that bother me, it's that it is not anywhere close to a seemless integration.
