Much better period.
I generally hate the offside challenges, but that wasn't some ticky tacky 'was his skate touching the ice ' call.
Those late period goals can be real back breakers.

Exactly.
This is the point of the offside challenges - clear misses from the linesmen not offsides that need to be zoomed in to the pixel to confirm.

Not excusing Markstrom, but Stepan did fake a shot then dragged the puck to change the angle. It wasn't just a clean #### that he missed.

I think the team should give these lines until the end of the home stand, 10 games before switching them up if the top line hasn’t started to generate more. At that point, I’d use Huberdeau and Lindholm and Mangiapane and Kadri as two pairs and change up the 3rd players on each line.

Yeah let's just try not to allow a shot because the goalie can't make routine saves or passes. He's being paid to makes some big save and he isn't.
