No he was hunting him down because of an unfortunate hit earlier by Kucherov. Nobody who saw it thought it warranted retaliation. Tkachuk does it anyway, in overtime. It’s all fine, it’s early in the season. Him and Bennett are going to be a handful come playoffs, for the panthers.

Ah. I figured he looked back, saw he got a penalty, and just tacked on more hits to make it worth it.

Will be interesting to see through the season how Maurice handles Tkachuk when he has his moments like this. Maurice wanted him kicked out of the league for his supposed attempted murder on Schiefle in the bubble playoffs a few years back.

Perhaps they lack true leaders like Looch etc, who could reign in Tkachuk's antics...

Similar thing happened with the Kraken's goalie. Grubauer left the game at the midpoint of the 3rd period. The difference was that Jones only had to make 1 save to preserve the win. No reason was given by Coach Hakstol for Grubauer's exit.

Yep. The Kraken out shot the Avs 38-20 and simply shut the Avs down in the 3rd period as Colorado only had 5 shots. The Avs tied it with Byram's SHG, but, Kuhlman scored the GWG with just under 8 minutes left in reg time. The Kraken beat the Avs for the first time.

Both can be true at the same time.

I don’t know, I’ve never seen him backcheck that hard ever.
