Genie takes set 2 6-2 thus we need a 3rd set. Ostapenko totally off the boil in set 2, but she often goes through stretches like this, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets red hot in set 3.

Well, that was a very poor 3rd set from Genie, Ostapenko really did nothing special, just a multitude of unforced errors from Genie.

I don't know if anybody has been following this disaster of a tourney in Naples, but in summary, the court surface is terrible (apparently there are small ditches (bumps) in the court and the location of the courts next to the sea makes them extremely slippery.

Jessica Pegula takes out Elena Rybakina in a close three set tussle which means Bianca will take on Jessica on Thursday. H2H is 1-1, Bianca won at Newport Beach (hard court) in 2019 while Jessica bested Bianca on clay in 2022 at Madrid.

Coco Gauff is not messing around today as she is well on her way to delivering a double bagel to Trevisan. 6-0 3-0 as I type.

Edit: Trevisan holds serve and raises her arms in victory lol - The crowd applauds.

Coco won 6-0 6-3 and Bianca vs. Jessica is just about to start on TSN3.

Pegula takes the opening set 6-4. Bianca all over the place with her level, at times brilliant, other times sloppy.

Bianca's forehand has just been awful today.

Edit: Well, it was 5-1 Pegula in set 2, now it's 5-4 Pegula who tries to serve for the match for the second time.

Edit 2: Damn, that's one that got away. Pegula was really struggling late and Bianca let he off the hook. Two bad forehands misses and Pegula advances.

A new day and more drama from Naples...Moutet is a hothead, but it's these guys livelihood as well, if the playing conditions are unsafe, you can't blame a guy for not wanting to play.

In more positive tennis news, Felix won his opening round match in Antwerp in straight sets and will take on Dan Evans on Friday.

/Also, at the same tourney on Friday, Thiem plays Hurkacz which should be a great match.

Wow, what a match between Thiem and Hurkacz. Thiem saved three match points in the second set tie-break (won it 11-9) and then won set 3 in a tie-break. This win by Dominic also does a big solid for Felix.

One laptop logged on to work (yes, actual work is being done lol) while the second laptop is on tennis streams (tennis tv, TSN etc.). It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it
