I still can't believe he stopped the initial shot on that first goal, great save. Unlucky he wasn't sure where the puck was.

This is a strange tangent to start at game 4.

Let's try to be rational about this particular game though, okay?
It’s not a matter of “forgiveness”. It’s a matter of what he is going forward. And since the preseason, he is okaying with no confidence and letting in weak goals. I hope he turns it around, and soon, but you’re kidding yourself if you think he is fine.

Markstrom needs to shut the door for the rest of the game. That is certain.

Yep, pretty ridiculous to call that a bad goal...robbed a guy left wide open in front, makes an amazing save but they tap it on the rebound.

I question anyone's game smarts if they can point to any of those three goals as anything than converting in a high-danger chance.

Give those up and even with the runner-up for the Vezina it will be risky business.

I'm still wishing there was another RW to take Lewis' spot on the Backs line. It's the only glitch I have with what we are seeing.

3rd goal - Subpar forward on a breakaway roofs it over his shoulder which was wide open, great shot but he was pretty deep in his net.
3rd goal puck on end that's why he got it top shelf so fast

Yep. The they played well that period but they remain a crappy possession team riding crazy percentages, just like last season

On dekes and shots right at them yeah. On shots that are bar down you need a ton of luck. The majority of those go in unless it hits too much of the front of the crossbar.

Yeah I agree. That's why I said "may be", where were his teammates? Why were there no one clear the puck for him?

I've always wondered if Sutter even goes into the room between periods? Feel like I've heard him say he doesn't.

Holy ####...what have you done for me lately Mr. Markstrom???
And two years ago he played like a backup goalie. He was great in the Dallas series, and beyond terrible in the Oilers series.

Neither year or series matters now though. What matters is he has given up 3 goals on an expected goals against of 1.41 tonight.

For elite goalie money I'd like him to be good more than 50% of the time.
