That’s a perfectly cromulent 3rd jersey. Put a black C with no word mark on it and it could’ve been a full-time sweater - the numbers were cool and different, the shoulder patch worked, and the stripes are clean.
But it’s got Calgary in cursive, and nobody can read cursive anymore, so I guess I see where the animosity is coming from.

Different strokes for different folks. It looked like something you would find at Walmart hence the nickname "Walmart Specials".
I have no plans on buying the reverse retro but if you told me I had to pick one I would pick the reverse retro over those abominations pretty quick.
The only thing I like about this jersey is the white C on a black jersey.
Pedestal was already a bad design, and it looks like they stitched the pedestal part on, which is horrible. The red arms clashes too much with the black, which is odd, cause red and black generally go well together.

I remember the K-Mart Blue Light Special (started in 1965) - which is way worse then the Walmart Special - isn't every "on sale" or a "special" at Walmart?
I was fully onboard with buying one of these until I saw that.
The design of the jersey is fine. I get that it’s not for everybody, but it’s nostalgic and fun.
Seriously though, Adidas couldn’t come up with a better/cleaner way to do the striping? Why does their need to be a random seam cutting through the mid section?
A "Walmart Special" to me is a design exclusive to Walmart. There's clothes you see there that you don't see anywhere else. Those jerseys had that Walmart look to them.
