Dennis' energy is basically everyone who knows what the red arrow signal means on 17 Ave at Richmond Road when stuck behind people who don't.

The number of things I've bought (that I didn't need) because of CP is too embarrassing to fully admit.

The battery post clamps also work on nipples if you're into that sort of thing.

Just ordered a NavTool to add wireless Apple CarPlay to the RRS.

I clearly have a problem. I haven't even picked it up yet (Wednesday or Thursday this week) and I'm already buying mods.

TD is annoying the hell out of me right now, so here's a question: who is everyone using for their insurance? I think it's time I shop around.

I will be of no use as I'm on TD Meloche Monnex and have been for about a decade now. I will say my most recent interaction with them, the customer service rep was a bit of a useless tit when I added the RRS to my policy.

Me: "Is there anything else I can do to reduce my rate at all?"
Them: "Fewer kilometres per year."

After we hung up, I found I could edit my coverages on the website and see a preview of the new premium. Turns out that by opting for All Perils instead of individual Comprehensive and Collision on the RRS while keeping the same deductible, I could save $70 a year. Same coverage as far as I've researched, but with no need for specifying a separate deductible.

I'm keeping an eye on this particularly if you go with a company that offers group policies. I don't know who else we have group coverage with but I wouldn't be opposed to shopping around.

It all depends on your car, but if it's of the classic type, but I've had a good experience with Hagerty...at least price wise, I've never yet made a claim.

Actually, that's a great idea... Last time I looked, maybe 3-4 years ago, they wouldn't insure my Audi wagon, but it looks like they will do so now (I guess 15+ year old manual V8 wagons are rare enough to be collector vehicles now). Good call.

Highway 1 speedster nabbed doing 270 km/h

Quote:
On Saturday, September 15, a Cochrane Traffic officer clocked a white 2011 Porsche 911 speeding at 270 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.

The incident took place on Highway 1 near Hermitage Road. Police say that this particular stretch of road is known for speeding motorists and RCMP Traffic has increased patrols in the area to address the issue.

Thirty-six-year-old Michael Peterec of Kelowna BC has been charged with dangerous driving and will appear in Cochrane Provincial Court on December 13, 2022.

While there was no collision, Alberta RCMP Traffic Forensic Collision Reconstructionist was consulted and provided a detailed report to support the Criminal Code Dangerous Driving Charge. Details of the report concluded that traveling at the speed limit of 110 km/h, once brakes are applied, a vehicle will need 55.96 m to come to a complete stop. Traveling at the speed of 270 km/h, once brakes are applied, a vehicle will need 337.29 m to come to a complete stop. Finally, the vehicle would have required an additional 281.33 m to come to a stop the equivalent of two Canadian football field lengths.

What is with the trend of non metallic battleship grey paint on new cars? I’ve seen a few now (mainly Toyota’s) and they all looked uniformly terrible.
