Cavalry FC more or less have the same. Although you do get lost parents and children who get a little sweaty after listening to some of the songs haha.

Hey Jamie there's an idea for you (from the saddledome beer thread), what about a craft beer night? Bring in a bunch of local vendors and have them sell their beers.

I have looked into that, and is right up my alley. Believe me, I went to many many during my 1 year living in California. I think this idea would be a good fit with what I think our target demographics are.

This one is slightly complex when navigating through exclusivities and existing partner relationships. Its not that it cant necessarily be done, but its not as easy as linking up with the local craft breweries and putting it together without limitation.

Just wanted to say that it was a great family experience on Sunday. Took our girls to the game (ages 3 and almost 2) and they had a great time snacking on pocorn, dancing and watching the games of course. They've been watching hockey with us since birth, so this is always a treat when there's an afternoon game that they can go to.

The prices/specials at the concourse were great, and all in a family with 4 seats is able to go for less than $100, even if you include parking and some treats.

I hope you guys keep it up and wish you all the best! We'll be back on those Sunday games for sure.

Also, a ton of posters were bringing up the noise thing the last couple of pages. Do you have contact with the person or group involved in that? It seems there were multiple posters just on CP alone that had to take their kids home early or get them ear protection. That seems like a major oversight/ unseen issue for a team trying to attract families.

And again we've had fans measuring the volume at 85-95 decibels when the recommended decibel level to wear ear protection is 85. That's crazy to me that they'd allow that, let alone want to do it.

Why aren't live audio feeds of the games made available on AHL.com?

For those asking about volume noise at Wrangler games, it was a piece of feedback I noticed in person with folks yesterday too. We adjusted today and it’s a noticeable change.

We went to our second game today, and I wanted to thank you for following up and making many of the changes that we asked for!

Notable things that were djfferent from the home opener:

1) volume was way better

2) lines for concessions much more reasonable. This appears to Hve been accomplished in two ways - every till was open on the club level, and they had a vendor walking around selling popcorn/twizzlers/cotton candy, which with the $2 pricing are very popular and that helped the lines considerably.

Shout out to Kevin who was the vendor in our section - he was great. Considerate of being out of view during the play, around whenever anyone wanted to order stuff, and explained some of the rules to some of the kids nearby who didn't know. Totally class act and a credit to the organization. Bought a cotton candy mostly to have a chance to tip him, he was that good.

Renewal on seasons for us is going to depend on pricing and the number of weekend matinee games that make it on to the schedule- realistically I'm never taking my 7 year old to something at 8PM on Tuesday. But even if we don't renew we will continue to go to multiple per year even if we just buy singles - I took one son, his friend, and the friend's dad today and we all had a great time.

I have typically sat down in the bowl for at least a period for all the Wranglers games I've been to as media thus far and the atmosphere has really been excellent.

I've seen no attendance updates since the home opener. Anyone have any info as to how they're doing?

I have only sat in the bowl (and never in the press box!) but I agree with this. The crowd was great - it's a fun atmosphere. Knowledgeable hockey fans and lots of minor hockey kids wearing their jerseys and cheering loud.

Wow, I would much rather they play in Winsport's main arena with those numbers. Would be a way better atmosphere. I was hoping for 5k plus most games, at minimum.

What's they capacity of the main Winsport arena again?

Hopefully with the team getting some wins, the attendance will start creeping up too. It has to be tough with so many flames home games so far too.

But easily converted, no? That's what I heard, but could be wrong.

I had asked somebody about this once upon a time and I seem to remember the answer I got had to do with it not being quite that simple. But it's been a while since I heard about it.

Yeah, I do wonder. I was thinking the attendance would be 4-6k minimum. But I played an all star beer league game at the Dome with 1500 or so people (the league made all non playing roster players show up to be eligible for prizes) and it felt like 50 people because of how big the Dome is.

If 2400-3400 becomes the norm than a different arena option should definitely be on the table. I mean this is significantly less than the Hitmen, who many were talking about as likely to be the third place hockey team at the Dome in terms of attendance and possibly in need of being removed to make way for the higher drawing AHL team.
