I actually don't think Smith played particularly well in the playoffs. He was the second-best goalie in his first round series, which is to say that he was good enough to win it. But I thought he played terrible in rounds 2 and 3.

Fair enough. I kept waiting for the wheels to fall off on him and it didn't seem to happen - at least from my perspective. I was more of a passive viewer in round 3, so it may have happened there.

Still without him playing well that last month of the season where Edmonton had a very tough schedule, they had a chance of Vegas catching them. I remember a few of us wondering if they would miss with their schedule.

And don’t forget the oilers getting “goala” taken off the air out of their market.

I would turn into a helium balloon of contentment if I could be present at one of their live break segments with the usual cast and interject to go off on tangent about all the things that make Edmonton no good . from winning a fourth lottery in six years that arguably never should have been allowed and changing the league rules as a result to housing criminals, scumbags and perverts and how pathetic it is that they felate and cheerlead for probably the most despicable collection of villains in the sport

It’s true. Is there even a limit to what Oiler fans will pay at the concessions?
That popcorn and pop combo is amazing. The ingredient inputs probably total less than 50 cents.

Will be interesting to see/track as time goes on. Oilers have 8 goals, 3 at 5v5

Flames have scored 9, 5 at 5v5

Oilers are talking about bad starts being their only issue

Flames dominated them even more in the 3rd and if not for some posts and great saves it would have been an absolute blowout

not to mention the joke call on Coleman

Not only her but Spector got removed from Oilers broadcasts for being too critical of the organization.

Imagine being so fragile that you think Spector is too critical of your organization. Talk about having a thin skin...

first 7 minutes of the third were more dominant than the first . it's not like the Oilers just let the Flames build the 4-1 lead because they were late to start trying . their defence was tormented by the Flames forecheck whenever it decided to push at various time through out the game

Makes me wonder if he has gone back the other way to try and get back onto the Oilers beat.

Spector is weird because he is typically such a homer that he can spin anything into being a positive for the Oilers, but when he does decide to be critical, he usually says something pretty juvenile and personal towards a player.

because that way the criticism falls solely on the individual and not the team which is what would get him censored . whenever things go sideways they just need a scapegoat to shovel blame at to cover up the deeper problems that come down to incompetence at the top

under 50 cents is quite the exaggeration. I would guess around 1 dollar worth of butter, 2 bucks worth of popcorn kernels, and buy a 2L of pepsi for 1.50
Still paying 37 bucks for approx 4 to 5 dollars worth of product is still quite steep.

More like 10 cents worth of popcorn and less that 5 cents of pop syrup. Definitely under 50 cents including packaging.

It's funny that you think that yellow stuff is butter.
