ended up listening to a bit of the Oilers feed in the 1st, Stauffer threw out this stat, but even moreso said the Flames had only one (they acknowledged that Backlund always plays the Oilers well) but that the Oilers had 8 with 'several more on the way' (presumably the Flames do not)
they have that many first round picks because they sucked for 15 years .. D'OH
When you're so bad the NHL has to change the rules of the draft, you really shouldn't be bragging about it.

SDPN this year has game over series with after-game podcasts by fans of each Canadian team.
Even the Oilers fans recognize the propensity of their coaches to resort to the nuclear McDrai option and how they can't resist as it's like crack to them.
I got suspended from HF Oilers for the second time. I rarely ever post there and only have like 130 posts since they started, and 10 posts since they re-booted everything. They are such a sensitive group.
The first suspension was because I disagreed when someone said Kevin Lowe was the most respected person in hockey. This time I made a post saying that it sucks that they signed Campbell for 5 years because he isn't a legit #1 goalie and that Skinner will be the better of the two as soon as this year. Sure, not a pleasant thought for their fans, but not overly mean or anything. I also made the point of saying it had as much to do with Skinner showing progression as Campbell just not being good. Their own fans in the thread were saying much worse than that. The only difference is that I have a Flames oriented username.
