There's an argument to be made for that (or flipping Mangiapane and Dube around on those lines).
I feel like Dube and Mangiapane are almost interchangeable (except bread scores more) and either of those two plus Kadri can create so much chaos, a guy like Huberdeau should be able to exploit it.
Only problem is I'm not sure I like the look of that second line, whoever they might put on the right side...

I just love how their fans don't understand that the Coilers don't have a problem with "not starting the game on time"...that's their team! That's how bad they are, and how bad they actually play if left to actually play. The refs have to wait until at LEAST the second before they can start hedging the game in the Coilers favor with phantom 'make up' calls.

toffoli has been fine . definitely not a weak link like he was to close out last season . has more hustle and making some good plays out there with and without the puck

Toffoli isn't any more of a problem at 5v5 than Huberdeau. That line just hasn't clicked yet.

some people just cant help but find something negative
Flames are 2-0 facing the Avs and Oilers
Toffoli was great defensively, had tons of chances, hit a post
christ leave the lines and let the chemistry build

Toff was a lot better this game, There were a few times where he made a nice play to maintain pressure in the offensive zone and he also made a nice pass to Lindy on the PP. Not fair to pile on him for the first line’s “struggles”, they’re all out of sync, they’ll figure it out. If you do need to break it up you absolutely don’t do it at the expense of our incredible “second” line.

I hope you got plenty of rest this summer, because I think the Flames will make you put in some extra work this year. Something like 50 times, perhaps.

I haven’t hated Tofffoli at all. With a pinch of puck luck he has three goals after two games.

1st line is huberdeau's to drive .. just hasn't done it yet . has been great on the PP but needs to find traction at 5 on 5 . they need someone to take the lead as the puck carrier . its a work in progress but if they figure each other out it will make us that much better bc the second line is perfect as is

Flames really don't have any easy games in the first month or so...come out of this stretch with a good record and they will really be setting themselves up for success
