When they eventually build the bigger stadium, it'll be IMPERATIVE that the fans and supporters sections are kept close to the pitch as possible. An intimate, jam-packed rowdy atmosphere close to the pitch (with safety precautions, of course) is exactly what's needed to create that atmosphere that looks amazing on TV and creates buy-in. I'm working with designers on other sports projects right now who reinforce this objective. It's one of the reasons why the stadiums in Winnipeg, Hamilton and York don't work quite well for the CPL yet.... lots and lots of dead space.

In the email sent out by Cavalry it says Lot 7 is closed this weekend for some other event. Wonder if the parking passes will be ok for Lot 2 this weekend instead
EDIT: Traded emails with Cavalry and they said the parking passes will be valid for Lot 2 this weekend

Marco Carducci has been nominated for goalkeeper of the year, alongside Nathan Ingham and Callum Irving. I think he might be the front runner due to the off-the-pitch issues he's had; all three had pretty decent seasons and I don't think there's an overwhelming favourite.
#### the forge. I hate them so much. Beating them in the playoffs is a loooonng time coming!
It seems like Cavalry are in a nothing to lose situation. All the pundits are favouring Forgery to win, so all the pressure is on them this time around. Hopefully Tommy and Co can make use of the endless supply of bulletin board material and play them like they did in that 1 home game in August. I think that was the best CPL match I've watched. Go Cavs, FTF!
I will lose all hope if we ever go down a goal on aggregate. They've looked ok when playing a more defensive style, but when pressing holy hell have we seen a lot of this group getting carved up on the counter.

That and zero ability to break down a low block. Just continuously passing the ball around the horseshoe of sadness around the opponent’s box.
That said I think they learn from their past and take a 2-0 home win tomorrow! Up the Cavs!

If I have five words left and I'm about to ####in expire and all I have left to say is to curse ####in Forge, I'm probably not going to say "Forge funkin blow."

I believe it was the first domestic cup game that was. Not 100% tho.
I recall it being two additional games last year. One was the Canadian Championship game and I could have sworn the other carried over to the first playoff game.
Pretty sure next year I’m skipping all the Forge games. It’s just infuriating! If it’s not the terrible officiating, it’s Henry wasting time and faking injuries. I might change my mind over the winter, but after today that’s my thought.
Cavs didn’t do themselves any favours though. The harsh reality is we’re just not good enough.

Cavs missed a couple of chances and as painful as this is…Henry also made a good save in the first half.
Aside from the crossbar about 2 minutes in, Forge basically had no high danger chances though. I think the game plan was pretty much bang on from Tommy and we seemed to be doing pretty well. The Cavs seemed to lay off the gas a little around the 60 minute mark, but gave a hard push at the end. No possible idea how there were a mere five minutes of stoppage time. The goal for Forge was at the other end and I didn’t see it well. A guy behind me was saying that the defender got picked, but I couldn’t say.
Musse and his attempted flicks and back heels got pretty frustrating. If they work, it’s amazing and you’re thrilled, but if they don’t come off it feels so wasteful. I thought Adekugbe played well and made some timely challenges.
Felt like both teams were content with the draw for most of the second half until Cavalry’s late push. Shame they couldn’t find a late winner. At least the Cavs are in a much better spot than Pacific. Go ruin their party next week.
I’d really like to see Bevan and Mason on the field at the same time. Mason ran himself into the ground hounding and chasing defenders, pairing him with a bigger body could open up a lot of space for him.
