It’s actually bigger than that. The conduct of the fan base, the Owner, team management and the players are not only embarrassing to the province but embarrassing to the NHL and the entire sport of hockey

This is quite wrong. Article 26 of the CBA explicitly says that if an owner, or any other person affiliated with an NHL club, does anything or makes any payment that would contravene the CBA, it shall be considered a contravention by the club itself and dealt with accordingly. It is specifically forbidden for any club or any owner to offer a player money to be paid after his retirement, or to offer any player an off-ice job or sponsorship at above-market pay.

I came here to discuss hockey, not stupid conspiracy theories. But if that's what people are going to subject me to, I'm going to kick about it.
If somebody can tell me what Keith is being paid for his new job, and show that it is above the normal pay for that position; or if they can show evidence of under-the-table payments made to Keith or Smith or anyone else — then let's hear it. Otherwise this is just a load of balloon juice.

What was the friend doing? Massaging the attacker’s arm in case of cramp?

At least they're fighting each other. Thugs will be thugs.
I hope the decent, law-respecting and upstanding Flames fans attending tonight are spared that sort of savagery.

Very likely the NHL is turning a blind eye to this because they know with those two contracts on the books the Oilers likely miss the playoffs. If the Oilers miss the playoffs, a very high likelihood McDavid, Draisaitl or both ask for a trade. If that happens it’s a bad look for a league trying to re-establish respectable hockey in Edmonton and also have Canada be a focal point of the league with the new poster boy for the league previously having Crosby in Pittsburgh. The league is desperate to get a Stanley Cup back to Canada and have hitChed their wagon to McDavid and the Coilers to do it. Look at the concessions, the schedule, etc. it all supports this.

Holy hell.
First, it's people joking about Edmonton in an E=NG thread because Katz has a supposed history of paying people off the record.
Second, if you're really trying to do a deep-dive into it for whatever reason, who in the NHL is going to follow-up on his job performance? So Keith's "job" is to sit at his family home in BC and take a zoom call with a prospect every couple weeks for $200k per year base pay plus "discretionary bonuses" and they give him a 3-year contract. I'm sure the other owners will all be up-in-arms and send their lawyers cause that arrangement affects their HRR somehow, right?
E=NG is all that matters in this thread.

It also explicitly states in most jurisdictions in the free world that it is illegal to operate your motor vehicle above the posted speed limit.

Why are you bragging about this? This is pathetic and the result of being one of the worst professional sports teams for over a decade. Jesus, what a pack of total losers.

True. I’ll give back the bully part but keep the physical assault part.
