Fairly dominant period everywhere except the scoreboard.

Keep it going, they look good.

Dube looks pretty good. I like that he just shakes off those big hits. Manson looks like a monster haha.

Going from Gaudreau and Tkachuk to Hubey and Kadri feels like children to men.

Best period in a season opener I can remember.

Solid period for the flames.

They'll need their PP to be good this year.

Dube got cranked several times already. Manson is really a solid dman.

Go flames go!

The team looks great and are really unlucky they didn't convert on the PP. I'm excited as hell for what this year is going to bring.

I do not miss the predictable SLINGSHOT JG Quarterback PP STRATEGY from seasons past.

Considering how previous season openers have gone, that was an outstanding period by the Flames. Outshot and outplayed them for the most part, and they look like they're not having any problems keeping up with the Avs' speed.

PP looks rusty, like they still haven't figured out the chemistry just yet. It'll get there I think. At least they're getting pucks to the net.

I thought someone said the knock on Huby was he didn't backcheck well and floated a bit. I noticed him playing pretty hard defence and tieing guys up in front of our net. looked great to me

Would have been nice to cash in on a few more chances, but solid team defense. Just keep building on it and the results will come.

I might get Flamed a bit for saying this but whatever.

That one single play by Huberdeau to hunt down that puck at the blue line, takes the body and wins the puck back on the PP, NVM that he flung it into the open ice for a turnover, won me immediately over. It's game one and that kind of dogged determination makes me say huberdeau>>>>>>gaudreau.

May not make sense but it does to me.

I thought the first minute of the first PP looked promising.
Great first first period. I love how it really feels like we are running 4 lines vs waiting for the first line to be out there.

Huberdeau skill is off the charts amazing.

That was a really good period. You can't expect to give up 0 chances but we did limit them and got a bunch of our just need to score.
